Overview: Enger and Easton show quite a few similarities in their games, even though Burbage and Enger have the experience playing in 6-2 offenses. Burbage may be more the athlete and vertical player of the group, but Easton and Enger have been in Big Gym Settings for decades, it seems. Love the confidence, leadership, and the ability of all three of these setters to connect quickly with their “new attackers”.

Overview: Two different athletes in Jameson and Matuszko, but both are effective at what they do. Jameson is explosive and dynamic, while Matuszko, with her power game and length, puts up a menacing wall.
**Matuszko, by the way, a glaring omission from America’s 200, and that is our fault

McKenzie Andrews - 2028 Legacy - Silver Level Prospect - No Profile

Madison Middleton - 2029 A5 - Silver Level Prospect - No Profile
Strengths: Youth 2030, Simply untapped potential with height and skill for her age
Shaun Waller - 2028 Tennessee Performance - Elite Red Level Prospect -No Profile
Strengths: Height/Length of her block, Slide, Power Arm
Overview: This is a talented group. The 2028s are so deep with talent, and this tryout will be a perfect example of that. You mix in the 2030 phenom in Middleton. You see some varieties in style here with a Waller who may be more of a “high-ceiling”, but so powerful and athletic, and then there is Andrews, who is a mix of talent, technique, and the best training. Gloessner is right in between and does so many things very well. What a deep group.
If I’m a college coach needing a middle in 2028, I simply say “yes, please” to any of them:)
Liberos:
Grace Hengler - 2029 Madfrog - Elite Red Level Prospect - No Profile
Strengths: Volleyball IQ, Reaction time, First step, and anticipation
Important Camps: Nebraska, SMU, Texas A&M, Baylor
Lola Loncar - 2028 AVC - Elite Red Level Prospect - No Profile
Strengths: No wasted movements, Positioning, Quiet Feet, Anticipation
Bella Osborn - 2028 Madfrog - Elite Red Level Prospect - No Profile
Strengths: Court Coverage, Keeps difficult balls alive, first contact specialist, picks up hard balls
Important camps: Nebraska, Baylor, Zona, Rice
Overview: This is a group that we know the least about. Other than seeing Osborn and Hengler at Dream Team and about 30 minutes of film on Loncar, the ‘bros will be discovered for us as well. Do it like Louisville and Nebraska do it, and stat everything and take the one that has the best serve/receive for the week? Osborne and Hengler were fierce competitors this Summer, and I’m guessing Loncar playing bro for AVC Cleveland that won’t be an issue either.
I have mentioned this a few times when interviewing a few of these athletes last week. What a great call by USA VB, and this is a terrific crew of athletes. Would love to be in this gym all week. What an amazing opportunity for all of them. Best of luck!
