Under the Radar: Prospects to Keep Your Eye On

There are plenty of talented athletes who are making an impact on the court while flying a little under the radar. From standout tournament performances to strong work ethic and continued development, these players have shown qualities that make them worth watching. Here’s a look at some of the prospects who could be ready to make a bigger name for themselves as they continue their volleyball careers.

Class of 2028

Eva Gutz: Orange level libero/DS- VCNebraska 16 Black 

Eva Gutz has established herself as a steady defensive presence for VCNebraska 16 Black, bringing consistency and leadership to the back row. The Orange level libero/DS recently wrapped up her season at USAV Nationals and also serves as captain of her club team. She has gained exposure to the college game through camps at Arizona State, Michigan, and other programs while also participating in the USAV BNTDP. Gutz brings added versatility through beach volleyball, where she holds a 16 AAA rating.

Lily Foster: Orange level OH- Mintonette M.62

Lily Foster has continued to make her mark as an outside hitter for Mintonette M.62, earning recognition as an OVR All-Star in both 2024 and 2025. She has also been selected for the USAV NTDP, adding another strong accomplishment to her developing résumé. Foster has gained exposure to the college game through camps at Virginia, Dayton, Indiana, and other programs. With a growing list of accolades and camp experience, she is an outside hitter to keep an eye on in the 2028 class.

Anayah Sila: Orange level setter- FVA 17 Inferno 

At 6’0, Anayah Sila brings an impressive physical presence to the setter position for FVA 17 Inferno. A standout talent from Alaska, Sila is one of the top players in her age group in the state, making her accomplishments especially notable given the limited opportunities for exposure in the region. She helped lead Diamond High School to a 2025 State Championship, earning both Player of the Match and Best Server honors along the way. As she continues to compete outside of Alaska, Sila has the opportunity to bring more attention to her game on a larger stage.

Hadley Beard: Orange level OH- SKEVA 16 Blue

At 6’0, Hadley Beard brings a strong physical presence to the outside hitter position for SKEVA 16 Blue. Beard helped her team capture the 2026 AAU National Championship, adding a major accomplishment to her résumé. She also stands out for her positive attitude and approach to the game. With her combination of size, experience, and mindset, Beard is a 2029 prospect to keep an eye on.

Josephine Austen: Orange level OPP/RS- Iowa United 161 Elite 

At 6’1, Josephine Austen brings strong size and attacking ability to the opposite/right-side position for Iowa United 161 Elite. Her powerful swing makes her an offensive threat and gives her the ability to make an impact at the net. Austen has also gained exposure to the college game through camps at Oklahoma, Iowa State, Harvard, and other programs. With her combination of size, arm strength, and growing college camp experience, Austen is an intriguing 2029 prospect to watch.

Kendall Klingenberg: Orange level setter- Omni VBC 15N1

Kendall Klingenberg has built a strong resume as a setter for Omni VBC 15N1, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2026 USAV Nationals. She has also participated at UA Next Camp, adding another notable accomplishment to her growing profile. Klingenberg has gained college exposure through camps at Fresno State, Arizona, and Cal Poly Pomona. Her national-level experience and continued exposure to college programs make her an intriguing setter to watch.

Olivia Krebs: Green level MB- Northern Lights 15-1

Olivia Krebs made a strong impression on the national stage this season, helping her team finish fifth in the National Division at USAV Nationals. The middle blocker has also participated in UA Next Camp, showcasing the recognition she has earned within the 2029 class. Off the court, Krebs has gained firsthand exposure to the collegiate game at camps hosted by Michigan State, Michigan, and other programs. With national competition under her belt and opportunities to continue developing her game, Krebs is one to watch moving forward.

Madelyn Cook: Green level setter- Kairos 14 Alpha 

Madelyn Cook brings strong court awareness to the setter position for Kairos 14 Alpha, highlighted by her ability to connect well with her hitters. She finished the season competing in the 14 Open division at USAV Nationals, gaining experience against high-level competition. Cook has also attended college camps at UNO, South Dakota, and other programs. As she continues to develop, her setting consistency and connection with her attackers will be key areas to watch.

Emmalyne Glasser: Green level OPP/RS- Livewire 14 Prime 

Emmalyne Glasser closed out her season on a high note, competing at USAV Nationals after her team quadruple qualified. The right-side has continued to invest in her development through extensive work outside of club practices. She has also gained additional experience through showcases and clinics. Glasser’s dedication to improving her game makes her an exciting 2030 prospect to follow.

Autumn Francois: Blue level libero/DS- Brusa 13 Leanna

Autumn Francois brings plenty of energy to the court as a libero/DS for Brusa 13 Leanna. She was selected to the 2026 JVPA Fall Team, adding an early accolade to her developing resume. Francois is characterized by her outstanding attitude and willingness to hustle for every ball. As she continues to grow her game, that competitive mindset should be a key part of her development.

Adalyn Musa: Blue level setter- Cleveland Wave 14 N1

Adalyn Musa helped her team put together a successful tournament season, including a first-place finish at Summerfest. The young setter continues to gain experience in competitive settings while building her game at the club level. Musa’s early success gives her a strong foundation as she continues to develop her skills at the position. With a promising future ahead, she is a 2031 prospect to keep an eye on.
