Isabella Stojkovic (PPV 242) is a standout pin attacker for her Aspire Club team. Her team were runners-up in the 2025 16 Open MLK Tournament, and she was named all-region first team and 2024 Westwood Tournament MVP. Stojkovic has a really solid approach that always sets her up to succeed, using the full length of her frame to attack the ball from its highest point of contact. She is terminal on either pin; utilizing a vast arsenal of shots with her weapon of an arm. She can rip it down the line, cut it 4-4, and is so good at hitting the seam. Stojkovic has attended camps nearby at Arizona and ASU, but has also received invitations from programs like Northwestern and Duke. With the commitment period in full force, I asked Isabella about her mindset and goals during this formative time.
Q: Do you have “dream school” in mind that you won’t hesitate to choose if they call, or are you planning on taking more time in your recruiting process?
A: While I do have a dream school in mind that I would love to play at and continue my volleyball career, I do realize the importance of looking at all my opportunities and taking my time to make the right decision for my future. I would like to ask all the questions I have, and carefully explore all my options before I make such a big decision.
Q: How does it feel to take that next step into a new chapter of your life and make such a big decision – overwhelming, anxious, exciting?
A: It honestly feels like a mix of everything: exciting, overwhelming, and a little scary all at once. Taking this next step is a big deal because it’s not just about playing volleyball, it’s about shaping my future. But overall, I’m excited. I’ve worked hard for this, and it feels good to know that I’m getting closer to reaching the goals I’ve set for myself. Even if it’s a little nerve wracking at times, I know it’s all part of the journey. Overall, what's helped me the most is my strong support system. I'm extremely grateful for them because they make this entire process a lot less stressful.
Q: What is your biggest personal goal for your college career, and what kind of environment do you see yourself thriving in?
A: My biggest personal goal for college is to keep growing as both a student and an athlete while preparing for the career I know I want, and I’m ready to put in the work it takes to get there. At the same time, volleyball has taught me so much about discipline, leadership, and how to handle pressure, and I want to keep building on those lessons at the college level, along with the opportunity to inspire young girls through volleyball like I was. I know I’ll thrive in a college environment that’s competitive but also supportive, a place where I’m surrounded by people who are focused and passionate like me. I want to be part of a team, both on the court and in the classroom, where everyone is pushing toward something bigger. I’m excited to see what the future holds.
