Weekly Risers: 15 Names Heating Up This Season

Maggie Jewell | 2028 | MB/OH | Triangle VBC | PPV 87.8

Maggie Jewell continues to make her presence known heading into another season. The 6-foot MB/OH earned a spot on the 2026 AVCA Phenom Watchlist, adding to her growing résumé after back-to-back All-Region and All-Conference recognition. With a 119 block touch and 122 approach touch, Jewell brings plenty of physicality at the net, while her two Carolina Region NTDP selections and 2026 Under Armour Camp invite further highlight her rising profile.

Lucy Zeiter | 2029 | S/OH | SC Rockstar | PPV 86

Lucy Zeiter is already making her mark at Aliso Niguel, earning 2026 AVCA Phenom Watch List recognition and a spot in the 1% Setter Combine on August 7. The 5-foot-11 S/OH was a Second Team All-South Coast League selection as a freshman and led Aliso Niguel in both kills and aces. With camp experience at Arizona, Pepperdine, Missouri and more, Zeiter is a versatile 2029 to keep an eye on as her game continues to take shape.

Kennedy Hummert | 2028 | LIB/DS | 3DGE | PPV 88

Kennedy Hummert continues to build momentum as one of the rising defensive names in the 2028 class. She earned 2026 AVCA Phenom recognition and was named a 2026 JVA All-Star, while also landing on the list of the top nine girls to watch in Butler County and the top 25 in the WPIAL. Hummert set a school record with 345 digs in a single season, earning First Team Class 4A Section 2 All-Star, First Team Western PA Big 5/6 Athletic Conference and Second Team WPIAL Class 4A honors. Ava Martinez | 2028 | MB/OPP | Arizona Sky Volleyball | PPV 86.3

Ava Martinez is adding another major milestone to her growing volleyball résumé after verbally committing to George Mason University on August 10, 2026. The 6-foot-2 MB/OPP has already earned recognition as a PrepVolleyball High School Watch List selection and Middle Blocker Mid-Season Standout, along with All-American Honorable Mention and Mid-Season Standout recognition at the 15U level. With select camps at Wyoming, Nevada, San Jose State and CSUN also under her belt, Martinez is a 2028 prospect continuing to build momentum.

Breanna Benavides | 2027 | LIB/DS | Austin Juniors

Breanna Benavides is heading into her final high school season with plenty of momentum, earning a spot on the 2026 AVCA All-America Watchlist and adding another AVCA All-Region honor to her résumé. The Austin Juniors libero is a back-to-back MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, while also earning All-State Academic recognition and a spot on the JP II Guardians All-Tournament Team. She’s also been a force from the service line, ranking No. 2 nationally in aces in 2025 after finishing No. 9 in 2024. Now committed to Villanova, Benavides is bringing an impressive track record into her final season.

Catherine Bensler | 2029 | S/DS | Mississippi Velocity Volleyball Club

Catherine Bensler is continuing to make her mark in the 2029 class, earning a spot on the 2026 AVCA Phenom Watchlist after also being recognized on the 2025 list. The St. Andrew’s Episcopal standout was a JV assist leader and Raider Award winner in 2025, while helping Jackson Academy to a MAIS JV State Championship and MAIS D1 runner-up finish. She’s also collected MVP and team awards throughout her club and high school career, with additional camp experience at Stanford, Harvard, Johns Hopkins and more. With her continued development at setter, Bensler is a name to keep an eye on.

Amaree Hollis | 2027 | MB/OPP | Spaceneedle Volleyball Foundation | PPV 86.5

Amaree Hollis enters the 2026-27 club season with a new chapter, moving to Spaceneedle Volleyball Foundation 18U-Blitz after previously playing with Sudden Impact Volleyball Club. The 6-foot-2 MB/OPP is coming off a strong stretch that includes a 5th-place finish at the 2026 Triple Crown Summer NIT, back-to-back USAV PSR All-Star selections and a 2025 AVCA Phenom Watch List nod. Hollis was also a 2025 varsity MVP and First Team All-League selection, bringing a 121 block touch and 118 approach touch into her new club season.

Annie Lum | 2030 | OH/OPP | Infinity Volleyball | PPV 80.5

Annie Lum is putting together a strong 2026, earning a spot on the 2026 AVCA Phenom Watch List while helping Infinity collect multiple tournament wins. The 5-foot-11 OH/OPP was part of championship runs at the Cavalier Classic, Delta Volleyfest Silver Bracket and AAU 14 Premier Diamond, where her team went 11-1. Lum has also been recognized as a Best Attacker at Samford camps and earned MVP and Best Attacker honors at Jackson Academy. With her approach touch climbing to 114, Lum is a 2030 worth keeping an eye on.

Rilee Enns | 2027 | S/OPP | Crossfire Volleyball

Rilee Enns is heading into her senior season at Andover with plenty of experience already under her belt. After seeing varsity action as an eighth grader and taking over as the starting setter as a freshman, the 2027 S/OPP has now reached over 1,540 career assists and earned back-to-back MCAA First Team All-Conference honors. A 2024 AVCA Phenom and Breakdown USA Elite 35 Underclassmen selection, Enns has been a key piece for Andover throughout her high school career and now gets one final season to leave her mark before heading to UNW.

Addison Mulder | 2029 | LIB/DS | COAST Volleyball Club | PPV 83.8

Addison Mulder is a 2029 libero to keep on your radar heading into the high school season. The San Marcos standout is currently competing at the Hawaii Island Labor Day Classic, where her team opened with a perfect 3-0 record on Day 1. That early tournament success adds to the momentum surrounding Mulder as she heads into another high school season ready to make an impact from the back row.

Ella Meyer | 2031 | OPP/OH | Union Volleyball | PPV 83.1

Ella Meyer had a strong club season, continuing to develop her game and grow as a player throughout the year. The 5-foot-10 OPP/OH enters the upcoming season with that experience behind her and plenty of room to keep building. Meyer is a 2031 to watch this season as she takes the next step in her development especially once she gets fully healed up from her current injury.

Marin Price | 2028 | OH/MB | Cajun Elite Volleyball

Marin Price is gearing up for another season with Parkview Baptist, bringing plenty of versatility and experience into the year ahead. The 6-foot-2 OH/MB has already earned AVCA Phenom recognition along with All-District and All-Metro honors, and she has continued to put herself on the recruiting radar with camp stops at Winthrop, Abilene Christian, Louisiana Tech and more. With her size and ability to contribute at multiple positions, Price is a 2028 name to watch as the season gets underway.

Safia Orucevic | 2027 | OH/OPP | Adversity Volleyball

Safia Orucevic brings plenty of experience into her final high school season at Maine South. The 2027 OH/OPP has earned All-County Region Honorable Mention recognition and was named to the ILLPrepVB 2024 Illinois Top 150, while also helping her teams to strong finishes at events like the Indy Cup and Nike Classic. Orucevic has continued to build her profile on the national stage and will take her talents to Washington University in St. Louis, where she is committed to continue her career.

Reagan Schneller | 2032 | LIB/DS | A5

Reagan Schneller is a 2032 defensive prospect to keep an eye on as she continues developing through the A5 pipeline. The LIB/DS helped earn third-place finishes at both the 2025 USAV 11U and AAU 11U levels, gaining valuable tournament experience early in her club career. Schneller is already on the watchlist and will be one to watch as she takes the next step in her development.

Mikayla Osaji | 2029 | OH/DS | Alabama Rise Volleyball Club

Mikayla Osaji is heading into the high school season with plenty of momentum after a standout 2025 campaign. The St. Paul II OH/DS has already earned All-State and All-Area honors while surpassing 500 career kills and ranking among the top 25 nationally in kills in 2025. With a recent camp at Alabama adding to her recruiting experience, Osaji is a 2029 to watch as she takes the court for another high school season.
