New Names, New Classes: Meet the Latest VBAdrenaline Prospects

Alexandrea Brasel | 2028 | S/DS | Tampa United | PPV 80.6

At 5-foot-6, Alexandrea Brasel brings a strong mix of setting ability, defensive versatility and high-level tournament experience to the 2028 class. The Tampa United standout has already competed on some of the biggest club stages, including helping her team finish second at Nationals in the Open Division. Brasel has also earned All-District recognition on the court and Academic All-State honors off of it, showing the well-rounded impact she brings to her team. With a 111 block touch and 113 approach touch, she continues to add athleticism to her game while developing as a setter/defensive specialist. With national-level experience already on her résumé, Brasel is a 2028 name to keep an eye on as she continues to develop with Tampa United and Land O' Lakes High School.

Layla Petschel | 2029 | LIB/DS | OTVA | PPV 82.8

Layla Petschel is a 2029 LIB/DS from Wharton High School and OTVA who brings plenty of versatility both on and off the court. A varsity volleyball and track & field athlete, Petschel has also earned recognition through Black History Brain Bowl and remains active in nine school clubs, including serving as an officer for two. Academically, Petschel takes Honors, AP, and AICE Cambridge classes while maintaining Honor Roll status. On the court, the 5-foot-6 defender has recorded a 104 block touch and 112 approach touch, pairing her athleticism with a strong academic and extracurricular résumé. With a PPV of 82.8, Petschel is a well-rounded 2029 prospect continuing to build her game with OTVA.

Fiona Medema | 2030 | MB | Kairos Elite | PPV 89.2

At 6-foot, Fiona Medema is already building an impressive résumé against high-level competition. The 2030 middle blocker from Lincoln High School and Kairos Elite has competed on some of the biggest stages in the country, including the USAV GJNC 14 Open division. Medema helped Kairos Elite qualify for USAV 14 Open Nationals and finished 28th at the event, while also earning a spot on the North Country Region's 2026 Regional Team Development Program and its Regional Team Developmental Training Team. Her 2026 season also included a 9th-place finish at the Sunshine Classic and an 11th-place finish at the 14 Open Show Me NQ. Her tournament résumé stretches back to 2025, when she helped finish third at AAU Nationals in the 13 Premier division. Medema has also attended select camps at Minnesota, Auburn and North Dakota, and more, adding to her exposure and experience as she continues to develop. With a 117 approach touch and a PPV of 89.2, Medema is already a name worth knowing in the 2030 class. She also has a highlight reel on VBAdrenaline, giving coaches and fans a chance to see her game in action as she continues to take on bigger stages.

Stella Kalil | 2029 | OH/OPP | 603 United | PPV 81.3

At 5-foot-9, Stella Kalil brings versatility to the 2029 class as an OH/OPP for 603 United and Portsmouth High School. Kalil was previously featured in VBAdrenaline's States Series for New Hampshire, highlighting her as one of the players to know from the Granite State. Her ability to contribute from multiple spots gives Kalil an intriguing foundation as she continues developing her game with 603 United and Portsmouth. With a PPV of 81.3, she is a 2029 name to keep on the radar as her game continues to progress.

Mailani Hartney | 2029 | S/DS | Miami Hype | PPV 84.6

Mailani Hartney is already bringing plenty of high-level experience to the 2029 class. The 5-foot-5 setter/DS from Gulliver Prep is a three-time USAV Bid winner and has already earned a spot as a high school varsity setter. Hartney is continuing to seek out high-level competition and training opportunities, including a recent selection for a TCU Select Camp. Looking ahead to the 2027 season, she plans to compete at USAV qualifiers in Boston, Orlando, Houston and Las Vegas, giving her another opportunity to test her game against strong competition from across the country. With a PPV of 84.6, Hartney is a 2029 setter to keep an eye on as she continues to build her experience with Miami Hype and Gulliver Prep.

June Donahue | 2032 | OH/S | South St. Pete Storm | PPV 80.0

At just 12 years old, June Donahue has already earned a spot on the varsity pathway, making the JV team at Admiral Farragut Academy. The 5-foot-8 OH/S is now getting her first look from VBAdrenaline as part of our Class of '32 Watch List. For Donahue, this is the beginning of the process. Rather than rushing to define her as a college prospect this early, we’ll be following her development throughout the next year with South St. Pete Storm, watching how she practices, competes and continues to build her skills. We'll spotlight Donahue along the way as she gains experience and develops as an athlete. As her game takes shape, we'll be able to get a clearer picture of her strengths, potential and where she fits within the Class of 2032. For now, she's simply one to watch — and we're excited to follow the journey.

Jillian Kalis | 2029 | OH/OPP | 3DGE | PPV 88.9

At 6-foot-2, Jillian Kalis is already making her presence known in the 2029 class. The North Catholic High School standout has earned recognition from multiple major volleyball platforms, including the JVA Watch List and AVCA Phenom List, while also receiving an invitation to the UA NEXT Camp.  Kalis was selected to the Capitol Hill Classic Open All-Tournament Team, adding another strong tournament performance to her résumé. The 2029 OH/OPP has also continued to seek out high-level training opportunities, attending camps at Clemson, LSU, Pitt and several other programs. With a combination of size, versatility and experience at major events and camps, Kalis is a 2029 name to keep an eye on as she continues developing with 3DGE and North Catholic.

Kinsleigh Kehler | 2029 | MB/OPP | Eclipse Volleyball | PPV 80.0

Kinsleigh Kehler is one of the 2029 players we're adding to the VBAdrenaline Watch List as we continue learning more about her game. The 5-foot-9 MB/OPP from Tri-Valley High School has plenty of room to develop, and we're looking forward to following that progress with Eclipse Volleyball. Rather than rushing an initial evaluation, we'll be watching Kehler throughout the upcoming club season and gathering more information about her skills, athleticism and overall game. As we get a better understanding of what she brings to the court, we'll be able to establish a more accurate PPV evaluation. For now, Kehler is a name we're putting on the radar as we begin following her development in the 2029 class.

McKaylah Mattis | 2029 | S/OPP | Quantum Volleyball Academy | PPV 82.4

McKaylah Mattis is a versatile 2029 S/OPP from Seminole High School and Quantum Volleyball Academy who is already bringing high-level experience to the court. Mattis earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2025, establishing herself as a standout in her high school program. At 5-foot-9, Mattis has recorded a 109 block touch and 116 approach touch, giving her a strong athletic foundation as she continues developing across both positions. Her ability to contribute as a setter while also providing an option on the right side makes her an intriguing player to follow in the 2029 class. With a PPV of 82.4, Mattis is a name to keep on the radar as she continues to develop with Quantum Volleyball Academy and Seminole High School.

Claire Iverson | 2029 | OH/OPP | VOLT Volleyball | PPV Watch List

Claire Iverson is a 2029 OH/OPP from Jamestown High School and VOLT Volleyball who has already earned a starting spot on the varsity team. At 5-foot-11 with a 113 approach touch, Iverson brings strong physical tools to both sides of the net. Iverson has also been recognized on the AVCA Phenom Watch List and received an NCR ADTP invite, adding to an impressive early résumé in the 2029 class. With her varsity experience and continued club development, Iverson is a player we’ll be watching as her game continues to take shape.

Hadley Chase | 2032 | OH/OPP | Infinity Volleyball | Prospect Watch List

Hadley Chase is a 2032 OH/OPP from Jackson Academy and Infinity Volleyball who is already building an impressive early tournament résumé. Chase has helped her team capture the Delta Volleyfest JV Silver Bracket Championship, Cavalier Classic Championship, and Ragin Cajun Grand Prix 13U Championship. At 5-foot-6, Chase is still early in her development, so she will begin on our Prospect Watch List as we continue to evaluate her game and gather more film. As we get a better look at her current abilities and strengths, we’ll continue tracking her development and potential in the 2032 class.
