VBAdrenaline All-Select Camp 3rd Team
As we wrap up this series of the top movers and risers during the Summer Select Camp series, the 3rd team is a bit different. These athletes, talented of course, were all players who received more invitations as the club season progressed. Maybe from being noticed in an interview they did with us, or their play at a qualifier, these girls did it the old-fashioned way: they earned more invites as they were noticed on the court and then performed on the camp tours and were noticed even more, moving them up big boards heading into next January. So this is a fun group to definitely keep your eye and of course some players you have heard us talk about earlier this past season....
Ava Broadie - No Profile - 2028 Outside - Though Broadie didn't attend as many camps as some on the lists she made an impact at each she did attend. When you get attention at Tennessee and Baylor, you are playing well, and Ava did just that. Explosive and powerful from the outside in Texas, you are going to get P4 attention, and that is how this '28 OH plays. Her camp showings erased doubts about how she would handle competing against larger teams and any program looking for an actual NIL ambassador. Broadie's 25,000 Instagram followers make her an instant asset to promote your brand!
Sade Bello - Elite Red - 2028 Outside - Bello can fly, and she attacks with aggression. Her skills are a work in progress, but her athletic ability is legit. She went up against some elite competition this Summer and learned quite a bit about her game. Coaches learned exactly what I just wrote, but if Sade is anything like her older sister, they also know that she is a worker and time in the gym won't be a problem. So look for her stock to rise quite a bit over the next six months in a class where, quite honestly, the Outside Hitter talent is down overall comparatively to other years. That bodes well for Bello, who will get great recruiting advice from her club, but camps like Nebraska and Texas A&M camp a bit out of the blue.
Kaelyn Easton - (Again, we don't start assessing evals to '29s early, but she will be Gold for sure) - 2029 Setter - Easton is that brand of competitor, leader, and calming presence that is simply hard to find. She has the "it" factor, and to have that when you are 3-4 years younger than some of the prospects you are playing with, that makes it even more special. When athletes like Kaelyn can attend a camp like Louisville and are paired with Blair Thiebaud (Class of 2026), and you can't tell the difference, well, you know Easton is special. You look at her camp resume, and she is going to be in an excellent spot because so many top programs will go for Setters this season she will be in a great position where she's going to have much more focus paid to her as one of the few elite setters in the 2029 class and she proved that this Summer.
Harper Broyles - Silver Level - 2028 LIbero - It still amazes me when I take an actual look at the actual camp list that Broyles attended. I interviewed her at the end of December, and she was excited for her club season, but she was still not well-known. Additionally, notable camps include those at Penn State, Louisville, Kansas, and SMU. The Vandy and Tennessee, and throw in Baylor with Michigan, and that's a heck of a summer for Broyles, who also attended two NTDP trainings. She will get interest from 90% of the ACC/SEC to begin her January and some slivers of the B1G as well. This is a DEEP Libero Class and she has cemented herself in the Top 5-6 for sure. With the camp tour she has proven it on several campuses now.
Rilynn Wingenbach - Elite Red Level - 2028 Middle - Wingenbach falls into the long, skinny mold of middle players. The Andi Jackson minus the explosion player. She has the block and can put a ball away with a quick or a slide-in system.
Dominating vs. the explosive and quick middles is still a challenge, but she can close a mean window with that reach and span. She received interest from nearly every school in the nation, in some form, and picked 5 powerful programs that are also "regionally located to her home" for camps. Highlighted by Nebraska, of course, Rilynn also camped at Creighton, Louisville, Arkansas, and Mizzou. Each of those camps was very talented and full of top players, so she was tested at each one. Reports were good for the HPSTL middle, and her areas for improvement are those of nearly every middle her size at her age, specifically in the areas of explosion and quickness off the ground. I thought she was one of the athletes who made a very nice adjustment from Day 1, early to late, and you could see her improvements and game pick up as she adjusted to the speed of the camp.
She will be one of the Top 5-6 middle players in this class, and her strength and physical development will determine where her offers come from by June.
Morgan Nesloney - Elite Red Level - 2028 Libero - Nesloney had a solid variety of camps and attended them without much bang or fireworks. She showed up and did her job, and the results were positive feedback from some of the nation's top evaluators. Nesloney camped at Texas, Stanford, SMU, Baylor, Cal, and Rice this Summer. She mixed in some high-academic opportunities, plus a couple of higher elevation opportunities, right away on the 17th. I'm not sure if that is to gauge interest or to see if she can compete with the many other top prospects in the county. She is a gutsy competitor, and I like the moxie this athlete showed on the court in the 2025 final, but I have a feeling she ends up staying close and as a B1G bot.
Macie Chase - Elite Red Level - 2028 Setter - Chase has worked hard to improve her skills as a setter and moved her way up into the National conversation. She also prioritized academic institutions in the Summer one because that is important to the Texan Setter. Chase grew a lot this Summer, and she is battle-tested after stops on campus and also her competition factor at Nationals. You can see from her camp list that she will be considered for the home. Chase is always on the go and also looks out for her teammates, making sure they know who looks after them on social media day for her team. Chase wants all of her team to play at the next level and would do anything to help them achieve that goal.
Deviryn McCarty - Elite Orange - 2028 Libero - Deviryn continued to pick up more national select camp invites and recruiting interest from large P4 programs grew as her season went on. McCarty attended some Top 20 universities and should have more similar options in 2026. Word is McCarty should have gotten a great idea for competing "at the next level" as several of the top 'bros in the class did this Summer. One of the thing many top schools will be focused on with Deviryn and a pack of 7-8 bros in her pack is what gains does she make from her camp experiences to advance her game between now and club next year? She is definitely a competitor and will get plenty of look being in open. We like her chances
Ava Nowling - Elite Red Level - 2028 Libero - Nowling was part of the Premier squad that went on to a Natty in Dallas and she shined as the most college ready player on that team. She has that athletic build of the new 'bros that could mask as an Outside so she covers ground and closes windows. I really liked the "Prestige Level" of schools Nowling attended this Summer. By that I mean she hit what I call all of the "on the rise programs" or programs with MO" Michigan State, Kansas, ASU, Kansas State and definitely Texas A+M are all programs that we consider teams that are on the verge of being the "Next Louisville or Pitt" ready to take center stage on the national level and potentially be there for a minute.
While some athletes attend the Nebraska, Penn State, Texas camps and truly have zero chance of every getting an offer from those schools I like what Nowling did going to really good programs that are right in what we would call her PPV range right now. **Also, trust us if you attend a camp and you are good enough Nebraska will still recruit you. Nowling performed reports were great (at least two of these) she may fly under the radar a bit nationally because she hasn't been part of the NTDP program, but she is solid and love her all around game. Sometimes athletes like this simply need the opportunity to be put in big situations to prove themselves. Nowling is that athlete. Nebraska is blessed with a couple of VERY talented P4 bros in this class. Ava proved to a few programs that she is one of them, during their select camps.
Dakota Washington - Elite Orange Level - 2028 Libero - Washington was a bit overshadowed by the skill position players at A5, but she is a very solid backrow option for a college program. Also, A5 is another program that doesn't do a ton of promoting of younger athletes so her name hasn't been out there much so this is another great example of why it's been great that Dakota has had a Player Profile with us. Luckily we have been watching film on her and getting updates all club season from her. It has definitely helped us stay current on her film, camp updates and much more that had kept her name on our minds and she has kicked it this Summer.
One strong trait of Washington is her diverse skill set, she attended many camps because Dakota is definitely checking out the high athletic and the high academic routes. So her select camps included Michigan State and Mizzou while also including Yale and more. While primarily focusing on the SEC Washington did look on the East Coast and B1G and is open to the best fit for her. She was able to see many different environments and competition levels on her tours. She was able to get in front of several different coaching staffs and styles.
A5 always gets MANY eyes on their athletes during recruiting, Dakota will be recognized when that all begins. That will be an asset for her and now coaches have some sort of a baseline as to what they think of her and how she fits in their program. That is a huge advantage for an athlete who is so "Completely Open".
