2030 Duo Spotlights: Pairs We're Keeping an Eye On

Nadia Wooten + Sai Herndon-Brown | 2030 | Metro VBC of DC

Nadia Wooten and Sai Herndon-Brown shared the court last club season, giving us a look at two talented Class of 2030 outside hitters developing in the D.C. volleyball scene. Wooten, a 5'11" OH at Bishop O'Connell High School, already brings an impressive physical profile with a 125" approach touch and 120" block touch. She has made a habit of showing up on big stages, earning MVP honors in both the 13 Open and 14 Open divisions at the Capitol Hill Classic, along with Best Hitter honors in 13 Open. Wooten has also earned invitations to the 2026 NTDP Spring and Summer programs, adding valuable national-level experience at an early age. Herndon-Brown, an OH at Bullis School, brings plenty of size and attacking ability of her own at 6'0", with a 117" approach touch and 114" block touch. She earned Best Attacker honors in the 14 Open division at the 2026 Capitol Hill Classic, showing exactly why she's one to keep an eye on in the 2030 class. With two big, athletic outsides making an impact last club season, Wooten and Herndon-Brown give us a 2030 duo with plenty of upside, and we're excited to keep watching both of them develop.

Flynn Peterson + Katie Malchow | 2030 | Kairos Elite

Flynn Peterson and Katie Malchow give Kairos Elite an intriguing 2030 combination, with Peterson anchoring the back row and Malchow bringing size and presence to the middle. The two helped Kairos Elite qualify for USAV Nationals in 14 Open, adding another strong result to a club season filled with high-level competition. Peterson, a 5'6" LIB/DS at Vermillion High School, has already collected some impressive individual honors, including AAU All-American, AAU National Champion and High School All-Conference recognition. She was also part of the USA All-Stars team that finished third and earned a 2026 Nebraska Dream Team Camp invitation. With additional camp experience at Nebraska, LSU and Kansas State, Peterson is already getting plenty of exposure to the college game. Malchow, a 6'0" MB at Sioux Falls Washington, brings an exciting physical profile to the other side of the duo. She earned 2025 North Country Region All-Stars honors and a 2026 UA NEXT Camp invitation, while also being selected for the North Country Region RTDP. Her 118" approach touch and 112" block touch give her plenty of upside in the middle, and she's already picked up camp opportunities at Colorado State, Creighton, South Dakota and more.Different positions, different strengths, but the same 2030 club team — Peterson and Malchow are two Kairos Elite names worth watching as they continue to develop.

Juliet Berishaj + Londyn Cottrill | 2030 | Legacy Volleyball

Juliet Berishaj and Londyn Cottrill have been building together at Legacy Volleyball, and they've already collected some serious hardware along the way. The duo was part of Legacy's 2026 AAU National Championship and GJNC 14 Open National Championship, following a 2025 AAU National Championship and GJNC runner-up finish. For two players still early in their careers, they've already gotten plenty of experience playing meaningful volleyball together. Berishaj brings the size and power from the OPP position, standing 6'2" with a 119" block touch and 117" approach touch, while Cottrill gives Legacy another big pin presence at 6'1" on the outside, with a 116" approach touch and 113" block touch. That combination gives the team two different looks at the net while creating plenty of offensive options. Their development has also started attracting attention individually, with Berishaj earning a spot on the NTDP Watchlist and picking up camp opportunities at Michigan, Baylor, Cincinnati and more, while Cottrill has earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Triple Crown NIT and attended camps at Nebraska, Michigan State, Duke and more. They've already won together, grown together and competed on some of the biggest stages in the age group. Now they're two 2030 names to keep an eye on as the next chapter begins.

Brielle Cardoso + Alessia Johnson | 2030 | OTVA

Brielle Cardoso and Alessia Johnson are two Class of 2030 players coming together at OTVA this club season, bringing a fun combination of offensive firepower and defensive ability. Cardoso, a 5'10" OPP/S at Newsome High School, is coming off an All-American performance at the 2026 AAU 14 Open. She also brings an impressive physical profile, with a 121" approach touch and 113" block touch, giving her plenty of ability to create offense from the right side. Johnson, a 5'4" LIB/DS at Calvary Christian, has already made her mark in high-level developmental settings. She was a 2026 UA NEXT Middle School MVP and earned a UA NEXT High School invitation, while also gaining camp experience at NSU and Alabama. Now, the two will join forces on OT 15 Randy, giving OTVA a 2030 duo with Cardoso's attacking presence complemented by Johnson's defensive game. It'll be fun to see what this combination brings to the court this season.

Adelyn Herring + Josie Cauley | 2030 | Infinity Volleyball Academy

Adelyn Herring and Josie Cauley have already been part of plenty of winning volleyball with Infinity Volleyball Academy, building a strong résumé together through some big tournament performances. The duo helped their team capture 2026 Gold Bracket Championships at both Southern Hospitality and the Ragin Cajun Classic AAU Grand Prix, while Cauley was also part of Infinity's AAU 15 Premier Diamond Championship team that finished with an impressive 11-1 record. They've consistently found themselves playing meaningful matches and collecting wins along the way. Herring, a 5'5" S/OPP from Jackson Academy, brings versatility to the court and has also experienced plenty of success in high school volleyball, including 2025 MAIS JV and Middle School State Championships. Cauley, a 5'10" OH from Ruston High School, adds size and attacking ability to the combination, with a 115" approach touch and 110" block touch. She's also been gaining experience at major college camps, including Texas A&M, LSU and Missouri, while continuing to compete above her age level. With a history of winning together and two different skill sets that complement each other well, Herring and Cauley are a 2030 duo from Infinity Volleyball Academy worth keeping an eye on.
