Dallas UA Next Camp Pt. 2: Predicting the 2025s

The largest and deepest UA Next Camp of the year takes place on Thursday in Dallas.  The roster is full of some of the most popular names in club volleyball and many deserving All-American candidates.  Here is our breakdown of the 2025s competing for Orlando Invites

  1. Erika Sayer Middle Blocker

A high-level middle blocker that elevates those around her, she is as explosive as they come attacking behind the setter. Looking to make an impact at Stanford this fall, Sayer is a naturally talented athlete who makes an impact at the net blocking and leads her team in transition.

  1. Abby Vander Wal Outside Hitter

Vander Wal is an impressive athlete to watch this club season before she goes to the University of Texas, she is a vocal leader on the court and her athleticism allows her to be efficient from any position. She is a high flier with a cannon arm who can make a real impact as a six-row player.

  1. Cari Spears Outside Hitter

Another top outside hitter committed to Texas, Spears takes on a leadership role as a six-row outside hitter, she is relied on a lot from the front and back row as an attacker. She has a heavy arm to compliment her high volleyball IQ to make her the complete package.

  1. Kassidy OBrien Setter

An elite setter in the class of 25 who can make an impact at the University of Kentucky, O’Brien has flawless second contact and reliable location for her attackers. She takes on a leadership role on the court and contributes on the defensive end as well.

  1. Addison Gaido Outside Hitter

Gaido will not lack size in the opposite position for Texas, she is a physical blocker that can shut down opposing hitters and she contacts the ball at a very high point to attack over the block. An athlete that has been a big name for a while because of her efficiency on different tempo sets and her dominant offense.

  1. Callie Krueger Libero Dallas Skyline

One of the best liberos in this class committed to the defending national champions Texas, her consistent ball control and demeanor on the court make her an elite player. Krueger is dependable on first contact even when she is taking more area as a receiver and her ability to dig outside her body is impressive.

  1. Suliane Davis Outside Hitter

A future BYU cougar this fall, Davis is a dynamic athlete at the net and a go-to player on a powerhouse TAV team. She is hard to stop on offense with her violent arm swing and a tool box of shots, she works to keep the defense on their toes.

  1. Gillian Pitts Libero

A Houston libero commit that is patient of defense and works hard to get her platform outside her body on serve receive. Pitts has incredible ball control and her second contact setting allows her attackers to hit all their shots.

  1. Bayleigh Minor Middle Blocker

Minor is an uncommitted athlete that has a high athletic ceiling, she is an explosive blocker that works hard to make it from pin to pin and if she isn’t blocking the ball then she’s touching it for the defense. She hits for an efficient percentage on offense and has no problem putting the ball down in pressure moments.

  1. Mackenzie Collins Middle Blocker

Texas A&M commit Collins is a versatile player that can hit from anywhere on the court, she forces attackers to hit around her to the defense with her size and her hand contact allows her to manipulate the ball to hit different shots.

  1. Jordan Taylor Middle Blocker

The University of Minnesota commit is a physical blocker at the net coming in at 6’5, she works hard to close the block and be an option in transition. Her length gives her an advantage to hit around the defense and her aggressiveness at the net keeps her team in the game.

  1. Taryn Morris Outside Hitter

Texas A&M commit Morris is an all around opposite hitter that is efficient in all areas of the game, she can hit on either pin and step in on serve receive rotations. She swings with a heavy arm at a high contact point and gets her feet to the ball to give her all options on an attack.

  1. Megan Fitch Outside Hitter

Another talented athlete headed to College Station this fall, Fitch is a powerhouse outside hitter that can beat the block with her fast arm swing. A high IQ player that uses all her shots and her length at the net to score for her team.

  1. Taylor Porter Outside Hitter

A Vanderbilt commit that can make an impact on either pin, with experience on the outside in highschool and primarily a right side during club season. Her ball control skills allow her to contribute on the defensive side of the game and her terminal arm swing makes her a threat at the net.

  1. Bailey Warren Outside Hitter

Wake Forest commit Warren has developed her game into a six row outside player, a reliable serve receive passer who can hold her own on defense. She’s very smart with her shot selection and swings with tremendous power.

  1. Takyla Brown Setter

Brown brings her great technique and footwork to the setting position at LSU, she is deceptive with her hands to hold the middle blocker and she is a smart player who makes good decisions at the right time.

Golden Ticket Predictions:

This camp could end up producing 7-10 All-Americans when it’s said and done, but I can’t see the coaches giving out more than 3 (MAYBE 4) on Thursday.  So here are our picks for who gets the Tickets.

  1. Cari Spears: No surprise at all, she is considered by many the #1 player in the country and she plays with power and high energy.  She is perfect for this game.
  2. Abby Vanderwal:  Another Texas verbal she has performed big in big settings like for the U19 National Team and at USA Nationals.  She is a definite All-American prospect.
  3. Callie Krueger:  The nation’s #1 or #2 libero prospect in the class and another Longhorn verbal.  She has the game and the training plus she plays with energy and great communication.  I think she gets an All-American spot, will have to see if it's Thursday or late.

MVP Predictions:

This may be harder than picking the Golden Tickets as you mix all of this talent with the talent in the 2026 class.  Earning MVP here is a great accomplishment.  We are going to guess they will give out 5 total (3 to 2025s and 2 to 2026s).

  1. Addison Gaido: Yes, another Texas verbal and 6 rotation player.
  2. Kassie OBrien: Setter and Kentucky Verbal.  She flies under the radar, but has led her club team to a great season and is playing as well as any talented setter in the class.  We will see what she puts on the court Thursday
  3. Jordan Taylor: We are taking a shot on this MB who has tore up 17s Open competition this season.  Look for her to make a big impression with UA Coaches just like she did with Univ of Minnesota coaches during the recruiting process.

Headed to Orlando???

You could make a case for 5-7 others still making the final rosters.  We will have to wait and see what kind of impression the athletes make in the gym on Thursday.
