The 2029 middle blocker has already been part of a USAV 15 Open National Championship team, putting her in an elite competitive environment and giving her a major national-level result at a young age. At 6'1", Merz brings a strong physical profile to the middle, highlighted by a 123" approach touch. Lorin Bass | 2030 MB | Infinity Volleyball Academy

Lorin Bass is already building one of the strongest résumés among the young middles in the 2030 class. At 6'3", Bass brings impressive size to the position, but it's her combination of production and early national recognition that makes her such an intriguing prospect. Bass has been on a serious run throughout 2026. She was named UA NEXT Middle School MVP and has also earned an Under Armour NEXT invitation, putting her among a select group of young players receiving national-level attention. She added an IMG Holiday Camp MVP to her résumé as well, further highlighting her ability to stand out in high-level environments. Her club results have been just as impressive. Bass helped her team win the 2026 AAU 14 Premier Diamond Bracket Championship, finishing the event with an outstanding 11-1 record. She was also part of championship teams at the Southern Hospitality and Ragin Cajun AAU Grand Prix, while her team captured a division championship at the Samford Camp. The success started before this season, too. Bass was part of a 2025 MAIS D1 runner-up team and helped win a 2025 MAIS JV State Championship, giving her experience competing and winning at the school level as well. Bass has quickly established herself as a 2030 middle with both the physical profile and competitive résumé to demand attention early.
