Welcome to Show: The Class of 2025 is on Campus... Possible B1G lineup crackers Pt. 2

Carly Gilk (PPV 266) – Minnesota: The 6-2 opposite and no. 1 ranked player in Minnesota is Minneapolis bound. In her senior season, she tallied 455 kills on a .301 clip – earning all-state honors and being named 2024 Star Tribune Player of the Year. Gilk has all the accolades to prove herself worthy of playing time, and with only one other true opposite on the Gopher roster, expect Keegan Cook to give her some valuable playing time.

Gabrielle Nichols (PPV 255) – Penn State: The 6-4 middle blocker will bring her talents to the defending National Champions, and will have the opportunity to compete for some on-court action. Widely regarded as a top prospect, she was named to the U19 team training roster. Although Hopp and Mendelson will likely be the starters in the middle, as a two-time AVCA Phenom with a 10 '7 vertical – Nichols adds crucial depth to the position.

Taylor Deckert (PPV 253) – USC: The 2024 Bay League MVP, Under Armour All-American, and two-time Bay League Libero of the Year is staying home to play for the Trojans. She was a standout at Mira Costa High School, as well as a member of the Southern California Volleyball Club, where she helped her team secure gold for U17 in 2023. Deckert joins three other defensive specialists on the Trojan’s roster, but she will certainly make a case for herself to see the court.

Charlotte Vinson (PPV 253) – Indiana: The 6-2 outside hitter and Yorktown, Indiana native headlines the Hoosiers’ class of 2025. Vinson suffered a life-threatening kidney failure incident in her junior year, but was able to make a full recovery and looks better than ever. In her senior season, she racked up 361 kills on a .324 clip, and her impressive performances earned her an invite to compete for a spot on the USA U19 team.

Alexis Ewing (PPV 249) - PSU: The 6-4 outside has grown into a highly-touted recruit, catching the eye of Schumacher-Cawley and her prestigious program. She was named an AVCA second-team All-American, tallying 301 kills on a .346 clip in her senior season, averaging 4 kills per set. With Penn State having a young, fresh group on the left, searching to replace Mruzik and Hannah, Ewing will certainly try to make a case for herself in the role.

Addy Tindall (PPV 241) - Purdue: The number one recruit in the state of Indiana and AAU National Champion, the 6-3 outside is staying home for the Boilermakers. In her senior season, she racked up 407 kills on an impressive .376 clip – proving her efficiency even as a pin attacker. The loss of Hudson and Chicoine means that both outside positions are up for grabs; with Tindall’s blossoming potential and strong all-around game, she could very likely earn a spot.

Gabriella Pitcel (PPV 235) – Illinois: A 6’1 middle out of Wisconsin, Pitcel has pledged herself to the Fighting Illini. She uses most of her 27 inch vertical and a long frame, and always makes herself up and available. She was invited to train for NTDP, and was named first team All-Conference. While Illinois has several more experienced choices in the middle, Pitcel will add some much needed depth.

Quinn Loper (PPV 231) – USC: A 6-1 two-sport outside who excels in all six-rotations, Loper’s quick arm swing and impressive cut-shots make her a formidable attacker. A four year starter for varsity, she helped lead her club team to a top 15 finish in both the 17 and 18 open divisions. She was selected to the JVA All-National team, as well as receiving invites to the USAV development program. While the Trojan’s are quite abundant with outsides and her chances may be limited early on, Loper will benefit the team culture both on and off the court.

Isabelle Bardin (PPV 227) – Purdue: A 6’3 setter who doubles as a terminal attacker, Bardin brings a vast array of skill to the Boilermaker’s roster. Ranked second in the state of Virginia, she tallied 403 kills (hitting  .379), 306 assists, 236 digs, and 23 blocks in her senior season. While Purdue will likely be riding with Junior Taylor Anderson at setter, Bardin’s efficient attacking prowess could definitely lead to her seeing the court on either pin.

Hazel Alevok (PPV 227) – UCLA: The 6’7 middle blocker will bring her height and viral popularity to Los Angeles, with the potential to be a difference-maker for their offense. She has trained USAV and their development program, as well as playing for one of the most prestigious sports schools in IMG Academy. Alevok is versatile and able to be utilized anywhere in the front row, where her stature alone will provide a hefty block. With the addition of Marianna Singletary in the portal, the Bruins’ are looking pretty stacked in the middle.

Morgan Williams (PPV 220) – Purdue: The 6’3 middle bolsters this impressive 2025 Boiler class, bringing her high-efficiency attack to the program. As a junior, she hit at a .500 clip or better in 11 matches, and is hitting .340 with 200 kills during club. In a particularly impressive feat, she hit .706 with 13 kills, and owns a combined kill percentage of 49% in her junior and senior season. Williams will be a huge asset for Purdue, who lost both of their starting middles from last season.

Marin Collins (PPV 213) – Penn State: A 6’3 outside out of New York, Collins brings her well-developed game to Happy Valley. She has an impressive range of shots in her toolkit, made lethal by her high-reaching arm and quick swing. She has a strong blocking presence at the net, and is among the Lions tallest players. She will compete against the aforementioned Ewing, as well as some returning players in Jurevicius and Willow, for a starting role on the left pin.

Ava Jo Berry (PPV 213) – Washington: The MaxPreps Washington Volleyball Player of the Year and Coaches Association First Team All-State setter is staying home. She runs a diverse offense and finds ways to push the middles even out of system, is a formidable blocker, and poses herself as an offensive threat. She led her high school to the 4A State Championship, while also being named Big 9 League Player of the Year. She will contribute heavily to a Washington program that has flown under the radar in past years, bringing the intangibles alongside her athletic prowess.

Na’Vea Gauthier (PPV 213) – Ohio State: The 6-1 two-time AAU All-American outside and Michigan career kill leader has pledged herself to the Buckeyes – and if her high school career provides anything, she will make an instant impact. In her senior season alone, she racked up an astounding 905 kills on a .419 clip, in addition to 498 digs, and 44 blocks. She was a four time All-Conference and All-State selection, as well as a three-time captain for the team. Gauthier is a massive pickup for Ohio State, and will be a major threat if she is able to translate her game to the collegiate level.

Natalie Wardlow (PPV 210) – Wisconsin: A 6’5 middle out of Lincoln, Nebraska, Wardlow will help continue the tradition of great Badger middles. She uses the most of her tall frame and quick reflexes to make herself up and available at all times, and poses a great offensive and defensive threat. In her senior season, she racked up 285 kills and 54 blocks, and has trained with USAV on several occasions. While Wisconsin is set with a pair of veteran middles already in Booth and Andrew, Wardlow will be waiting in the wings and blossom in future seasons.
