Rookies Who Will Benefit from NTDP Expanding Rosters

NTDP Rookies Finally Get Their Shot To Shine In Front Of The Nation’s Top College Coaches at “Training Session”. Love the fact that the event seems to have expanded and allowed more new athletes to attend for the first time. Here are some of the 2027s that are getting a first trip (or to us it seems like a first trip for them) just before the big Open Period in June.

Sasha Cromer-Setter 2027 KC Power PPV 189—Cromer has a big chance in Florida and her final month. Her name has been mentioned more lately and is impressive on film. Though impressive, she has some regional camps lined up. Being at NTDP will get her in front of many more eyes and will get her in the big gym for the first time. I love this chance for a kid who has our attention for sure.

Allie Hudgins-OH/RS 2027 TAV PPV 248- Hudgins is an excellent story of why it’s ok to do your own recruiting sometimes. Moved to a new club this year, gets caught in a numbers game, and doesn’t play as much as she hopes. Much worse her recruiting isn’t handled well and some things get lost in the mail…..so being at NTDP will be great for Allie because it will be an excellent chance for coaches to see her play all the way around again to see what she can still do on a volleyball court. Also, a great tale to athletes that grass may not always be greener.

Maggie Kurpeikis-OH 2027 Adversity Volleyball PPV 197- Countdown is on T-minus 9,8,7,6 until we get the word to just crank up the PPV on this one, and I just have a feeling that there are going to be a couple more invites for her shortly after NTDP week. Dynamic and long with a solid all-around game already. Has skirted the radar. Love the camp list she has on her Player Profile right now (esp Tennessee), just feel like this will open even more for one of the best players from Illinois.

Stella Delgadillo- MB 2027 WAVE PPV 180- Solid defender in the middle for WAVE on a deep team filled with P4 talent. It will be great to see Stella get a chance to show her stuff in this big setting alongside many of her WAVE teammates.

Abbie Hairrell-MB 2027 SCVC PPV 203- Harrell continues her climb as Spring goes on, and the invite is proof of this. She also climbs into the 200s PPV-wise, and competing at NTDP should boost her stock camp-wise heading into the early June Select season. It would be nice to see her show out in the vertical drills for coaches and could boost her stock even more, but a definite West Coast name with some momentum behind heading to Florida.

Kaelynn Lottman-Libero 2027 VCNebraska PPV 157- Lottman gets the invite to battle with the rest of the talented 2027 group in Florida and a great opportunity to make a mark with coaches. The ‘bro group is a bit wide open with this class and after maybe a top 3 there is no clear direction on solid choices so schools definitely still making decisions on this position and spots up in the air.

Kiersten Moore-Setter 2027 Forza 1 PPV 191- Moore, another new setter getting a chance to come in and show her stuff at NTDP, and I love it. I thought the overall talent was lacking in the winter group, and freshening up the talent pool and bringing in some new faces to compete is a great idea. Moore has worked with some talented guns for sure on her squad, and I'm excited to see what she does in a gym full of weapons.

Evie Pool-MB Forza 1 South PPV 214- Pool, another of the talented middles in the Cali area in this class, gets a chance in Florida. She will be attending with several of her Forza 1 teammates and she doesn’t have a player profile so we don’t know many physical specifics, but she plays and active game at the net from tourney action we have seen her in and recruiting chat puts her in that grouping of about 10-12 middles that are probably being looked at by 25-30 P4 schools right now. So, another athlete, this is a great opportunity for her to shine.

Nailah Randle- OPP San Antonio Jrs PPV 187- A bit of an unknown prospect on the national level, playing with San Antonio Jrs is athletic and plays at a position that is not deep in this class. There is room for Randle to show herself this weekend without a doubt and whether she raises eyes in-state with more Texas schools or nationally look for the springy pin with various shots to make an impact and for her recruitment to pick up following Florida.

Ruthie Robinson- MB Kairos PPV 203- Robinson will shine at this event. An evaluator told me a month ago that she is “instant offense” at the college level already, and few recruits come in with that skill set. You can plug and play her right now. The scary thing is she is still learning the position, and she has a ton of strength to put on. She has only two camps planned now, so she is open in her process. Coaches are going to very impressed when they get focus on her in this big gym.

Marley Smith-Setter Legacy PPV 266- FINALLY Smith should have been at one of these about 18 months ago, but I’ve been through that before. She is a winner, a talented and tireless competitor, plus she competes non-stop. She also communicates at a high level, which was lacking in December. Smith has been very quiet about her recruiting, but I know she will have many options I just hope she has fun and competes as hard as she always does. Maybe if anything, she will turn some heads and show people how nice it is to have that energy in the gym. Happy she is getting this chance, despite her height or whatever her evals said.

Sofia Simic-OH Fight Club PPV 236- The NTDP staff can settle the debate for us on Sofia. I guess she is a polarizing prospect? I just love her and her compact power and explosion and the way she attacks from behind the 10’ line. I’ve even said she reminds me of some of this year’s Chloe Moretz with her power and force from deep. Then some I guess think she is overrated and inefficient (those people also can’t name half the US States) so this is just a perfect weekend of Sofia to come out with that Fight Club mentality and show that power game and lite up Florida a little bit. I think some big school coaches will see an all-around player with some talent that might not get the pub of some because of the club she is playing for.

Marlee Steiner-MB HPSTL PPV 268- I don’t think this is the first time for Marlee, and when your PPV is 268, you're probably not hidden, but when one of the company's favorite tear-jerker movies is “Marlee and Me” and also when you are a pretty dang good kid, we talk about you anyway. We are so bad at our job sometimes we didn’t even stumble upon Steiner until Indy, but we haven’t stopped watching her highlights ever since. She is growing on us, which she is doing with her 6’4” frame. She is noticeable on the court, but she moves smoothly and is so quick off the ground. The big eyes are on her; I’m guessing they will all be on her this week. Easy athlete to like and pumped for her. Very fun to watch her go head-to-head with the best in country in Florida.
