#140-126
#140 Anya Baklenko - Class of 2027 Setter - Club: Madfrog - Commit: Loyola Marymount
Baklenko is a Setter who was lost a bit in the 2027 shuffle, due to some moving around and playing up with Madfrog 17’s team. She moved from Cali to Texas at the start of her prep season and played with Prestonwood Academy, but she moved to the back row for the season and did not play Setter. Then they moved up and were with a new club in a new state during her recruiting year, all little things that can slow recruiting, but Anya is a fundamentally sound setter with college potential for sure. Accuracy, soft hands, and vision are strong suits, while she will need to get stronger and work on her vertical game/block if she wants to climb the National Ladder and be a big threat at the college level. She has a great opportunity at LMU.
#139 Simone Roslon - Class of 2026 Outside - Club: WAVE - Commit: Stanford
At 5’11”, Roslon is going to be able to do a couple of things to play for the Cardinal. One gets vertical in a hurry. The Surfside Outside has a huge 3-step approach and is off the ground like that. The second is that she can pass the ball along with terminating. She will be looked at to come in and play six rotations for Stanford and was one of the best out West at doing so in the Class of 2026.
#138 Joy Udoye - Class of 2026 Outside - Club: Austin Skyline - Commit: Stanford
Another Cardinal Udoye is the Power behind Roslon’s explosion. A heavy arm, she came out of nowhere two years ago when she joined Austin Skyline and played with Henlee Anderson in club ball. Quick hops and a good block, she has been invited to the NTDP sessions, and it will be interesting to see where Udoye’s game goes from here, as she continues to develop with the rest of the class. Her vertical game will need to improve to reach the elite level, but she can terminate effectively enough to get on the court. What level does her passing develop to?
#137 Peyton Woodruff - Class of 2028 Setter - Club: Legacy - Commit: UC
Woodruff is going to be right in the mix of the most talented setter class of recent memory. Confident, accurate, and aggressive, she is athletic for a setter and will take chances. She performed well at big select camps this past summer as just a frosh/soph and has played in many big-time matches with Legacy and knows what it is like to have to distribute the balls to multiple stars and keep multiple big dogs happy. I loved her attitude when I watched her in person, and I have heard that it is a positive from other scouts as well.
#136 Elle Vandeweghe - Class of 2026 Middle - Club: Mizuno Long Beach - Commit: SMU
In my eyes, Vandeweghe has come as far athletically as most any player in the Class of 2026. She was good when I watched her at Nationals (Chicago version), but the player I saw in Vegas two weeks ago was simply dominating and looked like a college middle who could push for time next season. Her strength is way up, and she simply looks so much more confident and aggressive on the court. Her movements are more athletic and smooth, and her swing is an attacking swing now, rather than one that looked a bit “laborish” a year ago. Last year I would have said you are recruiting Elle as a “high ceiling” prospect and now I can say this is a great prospect for SMU that can come in their gym and push veterans right away.
#135 Carson Caraway - Class of 2027 Middle - Club: Infinity Volleyball - Commit: Loyola Marymount
Caraway is a prospect that LMU fans are going to love. She gets better each night she takes the floor and is tearing up Mississippi HS volleyball, and she learned a lot in club open level this past season. She needs to improve her quickness and the speed at which she plays to move up the list nationally, but she has physical tools and is simply getting more experience. We have long felt this is a prospect overlooked by larger schools, and she is a better recruit than most give her credit for. It’s up to her to prove who is correct.
#133 Maggie Kurpeikis - Class of 2027 Outside - Club: Adversity - Commit: Michigan
Under the national radar, no doubt, Maggie is a solid all-around player who can just play volleyball at a very high level. She was sought after by several Midwest schools, including some Big Ten programs, but stayed home and became Michigan’s biggest commit in the current staff’s tenure. Kurpeikis is exceptional in the back row, both attacking and passing. She is a deadly server and will locate balls wherever there is an opening to grab a kill. Look for her to see the court early in her freshman year.
#132 Layli Ostovar - Class of 2026 Outside - Club: Long Beach - Commit: USC
Ostovar is one of the more decorated prep stars in the Class of ’26, in both beach and indoor, and has played a big role at Mater Dei for a few years now. She has attended NTDP sessions for both beach and indoor events. She will head to USC to play both sports for the Trojans. She will be in an interesting spot as a slightly undersized OH. How quickly she finds her way into the Trojans' lineup and in what capacity.
# 131 Masina Ogbechie - Class of 2026 Opposite - Club: Sports Performance - Commit: Harvard
Masina decided to take the high academic route and committed to Harvard for college after offers from several schools on both coasts. A dynamic athlete, she was the top opposite in the state of California for the Class of 2026 and continues to improve as she plays. A recruit who gets better as she gets older, she has the opportunity to move up the national charts even more before heading East for college. Athletic, hardworking, and skills improving daily.
#130 Rayna Christenson - Class of 2026 Setter - Club: Northern Lights - Commit: Creighton
Christenson, a setter from Minnesota, had several schools interested in her before June 15th last year. But, she was Creighton’s #1 target no doubt, and the Blue Jays made sure she wasn’t getting away and locked up her verbal early on June 15th. Rayna has played both OPP and Setter, but the plan is clear in Omaha to have her assume the setting duties for the Jays.
#129 Josslyn Jacks - Class of 2028 Outside - Club: WAVE - Commit: UC
Jacks is a combo OH who does as much behind the 10’ line as she does in front of it. She is excellent in serve, receive, and first contact, and can attack behind that line with great efficiency.
Though she is still an undersized attacker, she is aggressive and already has a variety of shots that can score. She puts time in the gym and has the strength to hold up at the next level.
#128 Sade Bello - Class of 2028 Outside - Club: Houston Juniors - Commit: UC
Bello is one of the better all-around athletes in the Class of 2028 and has exceptional vertical and approach touch over 123 inches and 119 inches on her block touch. As a Freshman, she plays her game UP HIGH. Reading her resume in the Houston area, you can see the potential for Bello, who was invited to the Dream Team Camp this past Summer in Lincoln, Nebraska. She will need to work on some of the skill parts of her game, shot making, etc., but when you have some of the skills that can’t be taught, that makes you a sought-after prospect, and coaches want to get you in their programs.
#127 Caroline Ward - Class of 2027 Opposite - Club: Circle City - Commit: SMU
Caroline Ward has shown flashes of being the most dominant RS in this class or even the past two classes in the country, and then she hasn’t. She can make some of the most dynamic plays athletically, hanging in the air and putting a shot on the ball that has that special sound only elite athletes can make, and then at times she would go unnoticed for stretches. Still, the ability is definitely there, and the athlete who caught our eye as one of the best overall athletes in the gym two years ago at the Indy UA Next camp will be a great fit at SMU. Ward is smooth when she plays and effortless in her mechanics. The game comes easily to her. She is the most gifted athlete of any Opposite Classes 26 or 27. Another who has been a regular in the NTDP programs and USA Volleyball system, the ability is there to have a breakout career at SMU and at Circle City, where she will finish her club career.
#126 Kristen Sheehy - Class of 2027 Middle - Club: AZ Revolution - Commit: TCU
Sheehy was a do-everything player for her AZ REV team in club ball. She was technically a middle blocker, but moved around and played on the right pin, and her versatility helped make the REV one of the best teams in the country. Sheehy brings those same strengths to the college level. Her versatility is a plus, and her strong block will serve her well. She plays with so much energy that it is always a positive for a program. She will need to continue to push her 3-step approach higher as she gets to college to be able to score consistently at the next level, and that will make her even more dangerous as a weapon.
