The Breakout Team for NIT: The Names that are READY for THEIR SHOT

The Breakout Team for NIT: The Names that are READY for THEIR SHOT

Ready to BREAKOUT, the prospects will get their shot to make the Squad in KC Saturday.

“Her sister played college volleyball. She got invited to X Camp. Oh, she isn’t ranked very high by a certain website. She has had a bunch of articles written about her by X website, etc.” Heading into Triple Crown a lot of attention is paid to comments like these and people really think they truly matter when it comes to college RECRUITING and that college COACHES follow all those things when they make their decisions on who to offer scholarships to…..and they simply do not! We have been saying this now for four years and that is why we make so much fun of the websites that only can produce content that has nothing, but RANKINGS for content (like the the two that have done so for the past 3 weeks) or copy our ideas years after us:) yeah we are very excited to see what “interviewing the Top Athletes at Triple Crown” looks like from someone we paid their way to KC a couple of years ago to do round up athletes for our LIVE SHOW and do exactly that before TC said we couldn’t do that anymore because “LOVB needed our space” or we weren’t a big enough sponsor you decide lol, but I guess only men’s basketball and football were corrupt lol.

So here is our list of prospects that have a legit shot of Breaking Out this weekend. They haven’t been recognized enough by coaches yet and can make a legit P4 names for themselves in KC and move themselves up some War Room Draft Boards with a solid weekend at the NIT. So keep an eye on them while you watch the TC tourney this weekend.

The First Team:

Julia Clarke - Middle A5 Georgia: Clarke is flying up our chart, and her mailbox is about to fill up with more campus mailers than she can open. The Georgia middle has steadily improved her vertical game and plays with emotion and a quick step. She is also a bargain on the Rev Share scale, which brings her into play (as of now) for a wide range of schools, making her attractive to Top 15 schools and Top 50 programs alike (though I don’t think that will last much past this weekend). NIT will be a huge test for Clarke, as she will have every eye in the country on her because of her team (the #1 sports prospect will bring every Top 10 program), and her 2028 class will bring every program 1-150 to watch A5. What they are going to see in Clarke is an athletic, improving middle who, if she hits a growth spurt, could contend for a Top 4 ranking in this talented class.

Chelsea Torrence Setter A5 Georgia: Will be interesting to see what the A5 squad does at the setter position. Torrence was the backup, but she came in due to injury at the Tour of Texas Austin and was very impressive as they won it all. Multiple sources have reached out and said she looked like a Setter 1 so she has already moved up some lists.

Avery Minor - Opposite Minnesota MN Select: From the “This is why you don’t believe the Rankings Department” comes Ms. Avery Minor, the oppo from MN Select. She has some lift in her game, and it’s legit. The other MN Select family can’t give us the “Oh, you just play favorites for kids that buy your content, either, because she doesn’t even have a player profile with us. We just love her potential, especially how she elevates on her block and in her attack. She will go down the line and cross court. Watch her stock once more, coaches get a look at her in KC (hint several already have, like we said, don’t read rankings people).

Kennadi Sieg - Libero Kentucky NKYVC we will do a thorough breakdown of the deeeeeppp libero position Thursday, but Sieg gets overlooked nationally (maybe because of her club??), but she is legit and if the big dogs don’t want her then she won’t escape one of the Top 15 programs in her region, and they are all perfectly fine with that!

Mallory Mizell - OH, Mississippi STARS: maybe as productive a prep and club OH as there was in AMERICA last year. How she didn’t get an invite to NTDP KC is beyond me. If that event is about giving athletes an opportunity… yeah, she needs an inch and a half on her approach, but she’s been to all but 2 Select Camps in the SEC, so she must be doing something right. This is my problem with that program: we invite so many kids who couldn't care less about going to their 15th NTDP and go half-speed, while a kid like Mizell would cut off an arm to go once. They invite 100 athletes, and it’s about making $ anyway. Oops, guess I’m not getting my media pass back this Spring. I should just show up without one, like some other website.

Chayse Courtney - OH, California, Sudden Impact VB: Chayse is one of those athletes who truly has an opportunity to open up some eyes nationally, recruiting-wise. Love her vertical game, the explosive way she plays, and the height she releases her attacks from. TC NIT is big for her if she has intentions to play off the left side of the US. This gives her a great opportunity to get noticed by schools from the rest of the US. She plays for a club that doesn’t allow athletes to promote themselves during recruiting, so it’s important that sites like us see her play well in KC.

Brynli Burgess - OH Texas Skyline Jrs. We will agree that she has been invited to some NTDPs and select camps, but she is not yet in the same class as some of the ELITE. That changes after KC. This one is special and does it with much less “noise” than others in the class. She consistently ranks among the top 10 athletes in the class on the court.

Olivia Kitur - OH Madfrog Volleyball Texas: Kitur is another one of the deep talent pool in Texas that isn’t talked about enough. She just helped lead her squad to a W in Stop 2 at the Tour of Texas. We have a lot of respect for her already, giving her a 220 PPV and a solid ELITE RED Prospect Rating, but she can elevate to that Silver Level if she shows out in KC, and elevation is going to be the keyword for Olivia, showing how vertical she can take that game this weekend vs the BEST in the nation on the BIGGEST stage. We are betting she does just that (leaping like a MADFROG)

Faith Gandy - Opp Texas TAV Houston. Faith has really impressed in the Tour of Texas so far and is just another talented weapon for TAV. In a deep class of Opposites, Gandy can move up some RS boards early in the recruiting season and get on many schools' watch list, leaving KC.

Second Team:

A group of OH’s on the verge that are going to have that shot to make an early recruiting statement and then go grab some KC BBQ:)

Sloane Rattay - OH, Oklahoma, OK Charge (we have loved her since Prep season)

Sasha Slaughter - OH, California Absolute VB (Catching big school interest with our recent post on her favorites)

Malie Ogebechie - OH California Sports Performance (Early season smoke from this OH)

Ava Lazar - OH, Florida OTVA (Underrated in the SE length is a weapon)

Kolby Ross - OH, Illinois Adversity (Midwest kid has made a 101 pt jump, but STILL underrated nationally BIG TIME)

Trinity Johnson - OH, Texas TAV (Just another hidden superstar on the TAV roster. Needs more attention for her talents. Definite #1 OH at Top 15 program)

Lola Loncar - OH, Ohio AVC (Just like Johnson, not enough attention yet. #1 OH option at a Top 15-20 program. Love Lola’s game)

Brynn Walcott - OH Sudden Impact (We need some love for this powerful kid from the NW coast. Get your eyes on her this weekend)

Summer Tukua - OH California WAVE (WAVE OH In that ELITE RED range. Go get her!!!)

Josslyn Jacks - OH, California, T Street (Big weekend for Jacks, who we love as a person, worker, and passer). How does she hold up attacking at the 16s level? A big opportunity for her, as she has been invited to all the major camps. She will leave it all out there.)

Jensen Kubik - OH Kansas Dynasty (Literally a Dynasty family name. She will be given extra opportunities others don’t get. This will be a big weekend vs. the best to see how she stacks up)

Natalie Machinate - OH Florida TRIBE (Really liked her at Nationals in the Summer, but limited view of her, she passed the test in the film room. Now she has to pass the test on the court with a solid TRIBE team. Big shot for her).

Audrey Sutherland - OH, Nevada, NJ (Sutherland was invited to some of the biggest Select Camps in the country last year because of her height. Now she knows she is back on the club circuit with those coaches watching her live to see how she does. This is a huge tryout for her.

Surfie Grounds - OH, Hawaii - Spike and Serve (Liked her at NTDP December edition, now she can parlay that into some big momentum with a huge KC Weekend. This is a physical Hawaiian)

Piper Coady - OH, California T Street (Like Kubik Coady will get some extra opportunities because of her last name she had a good NTDP in December, but does her talent give her a shot at making it off of the West Coast or does she strictly get looks in Cali and how aggressive is she vs. other open division squads from Texas and the Midwest? Big questions that can improve her stock!!)

Kayleigh Rogers - OH, Kentucky KIVA: (This one is trying to bump her stock as a true OH this season and has the defense skills down pat. Coaches will be looking for her verticality and her attacking skills. What impact does she make on the game's biggest stage? She is a nationally talented prospect, and MANY schools will see it this weekend.)

Third Team:

The generals

Vannah Okebata MB

Janie Myers - Libero Georgia A5: What will her role be after getting injured in stop one of the Tour of Texas, and how will she play? Will those talented teams switch up their offense?

Lana Frelix - Opposite California SG Elite: This NTDP lifter is on the verge of Silver Status for us and is ready to blow up schools' Big Boards. Only attending UCLA and Michigan Select Camps last Summer. Watch her courts this weekend. Love her length and vertical combo!!!

A5: I mean, I know there are definite superstars, but you could put that entire team on the list as far as Breakout Ballers. Rent a place in ATL if you have some Rev Share bucks and just live at the A5 gym this season, coaches. That is the team to follow!!!

Fourth Team:

That bunch of breakout bros

Morgan Nesloney - Libero, Texas TAV has loved Nesloney’s work since Nationals, and her off-court preparation for how she will be tested by Skyline this season.

Bella Osborn - Libero Texas Madfrog.  We were wrong on Osborn based on her prep season and maybe a shaky dad at Husker camp this July. She is elite and is in the Top 3-4 in this class without a doubt. As one trusted scout puts it, “She is athletic and gets to balls others don’t, and her platform is so, so good compared to many others; it truly does set her apart.”

Ava Nowling - Libero Nebraska Nebraska Premier.  Nowling had the dream run at nationals in Dallas and helped lead her squad to the Natty last July. She is a solid, all-around Libero who quietly holds her own in the class. She is simply a very good college type. So this is a big weekend to show who she is and impress.

There will be more we add, but this is a solid list that coaches have highlighted and will pay close attention to, making special notes for sure.
