Sasha Slaughter Narrowing List as her PPV Increases

Sasha Slaughter Narrowing List as her PPV Increases

One of the most common mistakes recruits can make, which seems like a great idea, actually is keeping their school wish list as BIG as they possibly can for as long as they can.  What they find out too late, often, is that it becomes stressful and overwhelming, and in the end, they have to say NO to many schools they really weren't interested in anyway.

2028 OH from Absolute Volleyball is being proactive in her recruiting.  Despite being contacted by over 45 P4 schools, she is already beginning to cautiously sort her favorites list, though she knows this is NOT FINAL by any means.  "I'm looking at a group I am a bit more interested in than others RIGHT NOW, so I can focus more on that group currently, but I also know that group can and probably will change.  This is MY process, I'm just naming some favorites so I can focus on a smaller group and don't get overwhelmed thinking of 40 schools at once."

Slaughter is currently at the very top of the Red Level prospect group and will almost definitely move into the Elite Red Level once qualifier season begins.  Here is her initial list of "favorite schools": UNC, Miami, TCU, Stanford, Kansas, Rice, Washington, Northwestern, Florida, Kentucky.

Slaughter also recently added Select Camp invites from power schools such as SMU, USC, and UCLA, so there will definitely be options and interest being paid to the Absolute star.  We just want to give her a shout out for the way she is "handling her homework".  Taking a group of her schools and studying them and giving them sole attention as if they were her "finalists" is an excellent approach to get a very clear picture of each school, as opposed to trying to look at 20-30 schools equally at the same time, can be dizzying.

Slaughter is right in the middle of that "Traffic Jam" as we like to call it each year, where there are going to be 20-25 atheltes doing quite a bit of moving throughout the Spring so Sasha looking at a range of schools is an excellent plan.  Keep and eye out for her.
