March Commits: 2027s from the Southeast Region

March was a busy month for many 2027 prospects. VB Adrenaline is diving deep into the month’s announced commitments, and here’s what you need to know about March commits from the Southeast region.

Juliana Lugo, OH/OPP - Florida State

Level: Elite Orange

Lugo is a 6’2” pin hitter from Florida, where she plays for Tribe and Archbishop McCarthy High School. She helped her varsity volleyball team reach the 2025 FHSAA state championship match for the first time and was named the Broward 5A girls volleyball player of the year.

Maria Bortoluzzi, OH/OPP - UC Riverside

Level: Elite Orange

A teammate of Juliana Lugo’s at Archbishop McCarthy and Tribe, Bortoluzzi is a 6’2” pin attacker who has committed to play across the country at UC Riverside.

Alex Kennedy, MB - North Florida

Level: Green

Kennedy is a 6’0” middle blocker from Orlando, where she plays for Winter Park Volleyball Club 17 Armour Black and Lake Highland Preparatory Varsity, the latter with whom she won a state championship in 2024. She is headed a couple hours up north to play volleyball at North Florida.

Natalie Whitsell, L/DS - Tulane

Level: Green

A libero out of Louisville, Whitsell plays for KIVA and Assumption High School. With Assumption, she won the 2025 KHSAA Girls’ Volleyball State championship. She is headed down south to play for Tulane in the AAC.

Erinn Larson, OH - Louisiana Tech

Level: Green

Larson is an outside hitter from Land O' Lakes, FL, where she plays club volleyball for OTVA and Sunlake High School. With Sunlake High, she won a 2025 FHSAA Class 6A Region 3 title and was an All-Sunshine Athletic Conference Second Team selection.

Cheyenne Reyes, L/DS - Texas State

Level: Blue

Reyes is a libero from Louisville who plays for KIVA and Assumption High School. Along with fellow March commit Natalie Whitsell, she won the 2025 KHSAA Girls’ Volleyball State championship with Assumption.

Carle Hooe, MB - Bellarmine

Level: Blue

Hooe is another Assumption High School and KIVA player who committed in March. A 6’1” middle blocker, she’ll be staying in Louisville to play volleyball for Bellarmine of the ASUN conference. Like fellow Assumption players Whitsell and Reyes, she won a state title in 2025.

Lilah Anthony, OPP - Marshall

Level: Blue

Anthony is a left-handed opposite from Prospect, KY who has committed to play volleyball for Marshall University in West Virginia. She was named to the AVCA’s 2027 Phenom Watch List and plays for KIVA and North Oldham High School.

Lori Morris, MB - Southeastern Louisiana

Level: Blue

Morris is a 6’2” middle blocker from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She plays for WD Nation and Central High School, and will be staying close to home to play for Southeastern Louisiana of the Southland Conference.
