How are prospects feeling about heading into June

As June 15th quickly approaches, kicking off the college recruitment process for the athletes in the class of 2026. Anticipation and nerves set in as an exciting time period begins, with one of the most dominant classes we have seen, college coaches are gearing up to sell their programs to this phenomenal group of athletes. We talked with the top prospect in the ‘26 class to see how they are feeling about the start of the recruiting process, amidst many emotions of nervousness and excitement, there is a sense of gratitude for the opportunities that lie ahead.

Ayanna Watson - Outside Hitter 16 UA Vegas Aces

“I'm feeling really excited but at the same time pretty nervous, but that’s obviously normal. I've been talking to my coaches and my parents and I feel prepared for June 15th! I've been researching the schools on my list that I've narrowed down to have a better knowledge and understanding of those schools. I'm excited to be able to hop on calls with coaches soon!”

Madison Victoriano - Setter Houston Skyline 16 Royal

“I’m incredibly excited to embark on the next chapter of my volleyball career as I prepare for collegiate camps and recruitment. Part of me is feeling a bit nervous as I begin to accept the fact that my club days are soon coming to an end, but I am immensely grateful for even the opportunity to continue playing volleyball in college.”

“For June 15th I try not to stress about it too much even though it is a lot of pressure but I just keep working hard and trying my best in every opportunity I get to grow and I know that it will show in the end.”
