College PPVs: Queens of the Middle All-Americans at Top followed by transfers below

College PPVs: Queens of the Middle All-Americans at Top followed by transfers below

We move on to position #2 and the PPV scores went higher and there was a no-doubter at #1 with future Olympian Andi Jackson, of Nebraska, the consensus overall most powerful.  With a PPV of 293 coaches put her as one of the top 4-5 most dominating in the sport today.  Fair assessment for an athlete that does it with enthusiasm and production and has gotten it done on the biggest stage, basically from Day 1 of her career.

Coming at a convincing 2 spot is another returning All-American and someone who will tell you herself "to think I'm an All-American after where I started out as Freshman I was so awkward" so she didn't start her career the way Jackson did, but dang is Cara Cresse sure making positive that she ends it the same way.  Coming out of nowhere last season to lead Louisville to the National Championship match in her own goofy way, but coaches respect the talent behind the goofball and grade her as a repeat All-American this season at a PPV of 283.

Next up is a defensive stopper out of the SEC and someone who will look to push Cresse for the All-American spot this season Ifenna Cos-Okpalla of Texas A+M with a PPV of 270.  Her skill is the block and she led the SEC in the catagory last season.  Big things are expected from the Aggies and big things are expected from the Jr. Cos-Okpalla.  Not a household name yet, BUT maybe if she keeps putting up those blocks in record # and we can get the uptight NCAA women's officials to lighten up A LOT we can get her to bring back the Hakeem Olujowon "No, No, No" finger and her popularity will take off real fast and so will her PPV (and so would the entertainment value of SEC volleyball matches, but who is here for that and I digress).  Just watch her everybody I've been told she is definitely worth it.

Spots 4, 5 and 6 are old faces in new places, but very talented volleyball players of course.

#4 is Favor Anyanwu - SMU - PPV 261 coming home to SMU and the ACC.  So she will battle the likes of Bree Kelly and Cresse this season so that will be fun and she should get to open up her offensive attack more taking on the down side of the ACC, where she never really got to do that vs. the B1G at USC.  Not sure how much stats play in to post-season voting, but those should be way up for her in the ACC this season.  Athletic and giften middle who can move and run multiple routes from her position and getting up on the block is definitely not a problem.  Look for a resurgence for Anyanwu this season coming home and joining the ACC.

#5 Marianna Singletary - UCLA - PPV 261 Also a PPV of 261 Singletary has a solid all around game, America has seen glimpses of that during her time at Texas, but for whatever reason, you take your choice of floating stories you choose to believe, she left Austin and looked for a new home and found one with several other transfers at UCLA.  Playing in the B1G will be more difficult than the SEC was, but Singletary will get to show if she is a true All-American no doubt.  The Bruins have invested quite a bit in this transfer class and they are expected to deliver now and that certainly means Marianna so we should see her best and that ceiling is very high.

#6 Tosia Serafinowksa - Wisconsin - PPV 251 One of the entirely new roster put around setter Charlie F. to help get her and the Badgers to a Final Four Tosia is supposed to be the real deal though just a Sophomore.  Typical to the Badger greats big, physical and plays well above the net and closes many windows for the offense.  How long does it take her to get up to speed or does she come out and dominate immediately, despite Wisconsin's difficult opening schedule, that could lead to an All-American caliber season if she can do that and it could lead to a definite #1 seed for the Badgers.

The list gets very tight and still deep with talent and veteran names as soon we hit about 245-240.  Also, 3-4 true freshman that will push for some immediate spotlight time that fell in the 215-225 range (that for rookies is very, very good) so stay tuned as we release our Rookie All-PPV squads coming up before the season tips off and more.  Still so much college material to get every conference ready for the #RoadToKC to get started.
