The Next Wave: Player Profiles ‘30 and ‘31, Week 4

While we don’t rank the Classes of 2030 and 2031 due to their early stage of development, there is no shortage of standout talent from these young athletes worth recognizing. We’re excited to highlight these prospects and look forward to tracking their growth and sharing their journeys.  

Class of 2030

Juliet Berishaj: OPP/RS- Legacy 14-1 Adidas

OPP/RS Juliet Berishaj continues to establish herself as a promising young prospect after helping lead Legacy 14-1 Adidas to a 2025 AAU National Championship. An NTDP Watchlist athlete, Berishaj brings a powerful attack and high energy presence to the court while contributing to multiple national qualifier runs, including bids earned at the Sunshine Classic and Mideast Qualifier.

 

Madelyn Cook: setter- Kairos 14 Alpha

Setter Madelyn Cook out of South Dakota, has helped guide Kairos 14 Alpha to a USAV GJNC 14 Open qualification with her steady leadership and decision-making. As her high volleyball IQ is clearly seen through her gameplay, Cook shows strong court awareness and continues to develop into a reliable playmaker for the Class of 2030.

Adelyn Herring: setter- Infinity 14 REN

Setter Adelyn Herring has already collected impressive early success with Gold Bracket championships at both the Southern Hospitality tournament and the Rajun Cajun Classic AAU Grand Prix with Infinity 14 REN. A 2026 UA Next MS Camp attendee, Herring stands out for her ability to consistently place the ball well and create quality opportunities for her hitters.

Leah Miles: libero/DS- Omni VBC 14N1

Setter Leah Miles helped her Omni VBC 14N1 capture championships at both the Sunshine Classic and Festival Fiesta during a strong season of competition. After attending camps at USC and Utah, Miles continues to show promise with her relentless hustle and willingness to compete for every ball on the court.

Gianna Soto: libero/DS- Austin Skyline Jrs 14 Royal

Libero/DS Gianna Soto earned team MVP honors this season with Austin Skyline Jrs 14 Royal through her dependable play and consistent effort in the back row. With quick footwork and a reliable presence on defense, Soto is a young prospect continuing to build a strong all-around game.

Chloe Patterson: setter- AVC 14 Red 

Setter Chloe Patterson continues to gain valuable experience early in her development after attending both the UA Next Camp and the Legacy College Coaches Camp featuring programs such as Penn State, Michigan State, Louisville, and Alabama. Patterson also helped lead AVC 14 Red to a runner-up finish in the Nike Classic 14 Open division while continuing to grow as a playmaker on the court.

Celia Chancelor: OH- Infinity 14 REN 

OH Celia Chancelor has been part of multiple championship runs with Infinity 14 REN, including back-to-back Gold Bracket titles at Southern Hospitality in 2025 and 2026. She also helped her team capture the 13/14 Gold Bracket championship at the Ragin Cajun AAU Grand Prix, continuing to gain momentum as a developing Class of 2030 athlete.

Morgan Parris: MB- AVC 14 Red

MB Morgan Parris, a 6-foot standout for AVC 14 Red, is developing into an impactful front-row presence with her size and ability to influence plays at the net. Competing on a successful tournament squad, Parris continues to show promising potential as a young blocker in the Class of 2030.

Class of 2031

Luiza Queiroz: OH- Tribe 14 VKTRY Cardinal 

As a Class of 2031 athlete already competing on St. Andrews High School’s varsity team, Luiza Queiroz continues to stand out well beyond her age level. The Tribe 14 VKTRY Cardinal OH has earned an invitation to the Brazil U17 National Team Camp, received 2025 AAU Nationals All-American honors, and brings vocal leadership and energy while competing in high-level tournaments.

Kennedy Cook: OH- Madfrog 13 NG

OH Kennedy Cook has already put together an impressive list of accomplishments, including back-to-back National Championships in 2024 and 2025. Helping Madfrog 13 NG take gold at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier and double qualify for nationals, Cook has also earned recognition as a 2026 U15 USA All Star and 2025 UA Next Camp MVP.

Riley Walker: MB/OH- A5 13- Karen

6’ OH Riley Walker has emerged as a dynamic young athlete after earning All-American honors during her team’s 3rd-place finish at the 2025 AAU Nationals. A UA Next Camp MVP, Walker combines an explosive vertical with a physical presence at the net while also helping her team secure another 3rd-place finish at the 2025 USAV Nationals.

Abigail Cox: libero/DS- Elevate 14 Silver

Libero/DS Abigail Cox continues to develop into a dependable back-row player with her steady serve receive and composed play style. Her ability to control the ball and deliver quality placement gives her team consistency on both defense and serve receive.

Emma Hanks: OH/DS- Minnesota Select 13-1

OH/DS Emma Hanks shows strong on-court chemistry with her Minnesota Select 13-1 teammates and continues to grow as a versatile all-around player. Her aggressive serve game adds another layer to her impact, helping put pressure on opposing teams early in rallies.

Avilene Diaz: libero/DS- SC Rockstar 13 Moni

Libero/DS Avilene Diaz continues to expand her game through experiences such as the UA Next Camp along with multiple JVPA camps and clinics. After helping SC Rockstar 13 Moni earn a 3rd-place finish in the USA division at the Salt Lake City Showdown, Diaz stands out as a versatile athlete who also competes in beach volleyball.

Abby Carpino: setter- TAV 13 Black Jon 

Setter Abby Carpino helped her TAV 13 Black Jon double qualify for nationals with a strong 2nd-place finish in the 13 Open division at the Northeast Qualifier. Her hustle and consistent ball placement are clearly seen through her film, and Carpino continues to develop as a reliable young setter in the Class of 2030.
