Create a Player ProfileState By State: Nebraska's Top 2027s

At the heart of the nation, widely renowned as “the epicenter of college volleyball” – the state of Nebraska is made up of people deeply invested in the sport. Not only has it set the standard for women's sports as a whole; breaking attendance and viewership records at both the collegiate and professional levels, but it has elevated the game to unprecedented heights. The state has also produced Jordan Larson – a four-time Olympian arguably regarded as the best in the entire game. Today, I will be highlighting the top 2027 prospects out of this volleyball-bred state, their unique playing style, career accolades, and potential future homes.
Malorie Boesiger (PPV 253) – Nebraska ONE: A top setter prospect out of Firth, NE, Boesiger has caught the eye of several top programs; attending the camps of Nebraska, Creighton, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. If her last name sounds familiar, it's because she shares it with beloved Nebraska Volleyball player and burgeoning content creator, Maisie Boesiger. It's no surprise Malorie has reached such success, growing up under a Nebraska Wesleyan Hall of Fame Coach in her mother, Christinia. Malorie has spent a lot of her time in the gym, and it pays off in her game. She has the balanced and mature composure you want in a setter, but she's not willing to take some risks to put her hitters in better opportunities to score. Named all-conference and all-state, her resume extends beyond state lines and to the national scale. A regular NTDP and UA Next invitee, as well as a USAV All-American. Come June 15th, she will have an array of schools to choose from, and some of the phones may be calling from nearby.
Raegan Wallraff (PPV 237) – Nebraska ONE: A player that has been on my radar for a long time – and the recipient of many Malorie Boesiger sets – Raegan has evolved into a highly-coveted and desirable player on the outside. An attendee at Nebraska, Creighton, and Kansas’ camps, she has become a breakout star for the class. In her sophomore year, Raegan was sixth in the country in kills (662) and eight in hitting percent (.408). She holds the Nebraska Class B record for kills in a season, and was recognized as an All-State selection. Although she is a slightly undersized hitter at 6-0, Raegan’s speed and court vision more than overcompensate. She draws eyes to the court with her aggressive style and sharp angles, and will certainly fill a need for several programs.
Raegan Meyers (PPV 205) – Nebraska ONE: In the 2024 season, Meyer’s recorded 839 kills for Superior High School – the most in the state of Nebraska. This occurred after a position switch from the middle to the outside, which resulted in a breakout season like no other that ended in a state championship. The sophomore sensation recorded a staggering .343 hit percentage, in addition to 443 digs, 76 aces, and 53 blocks. She has been hailed by her coach as a “once in a generation talent;” having an incredibly high game IQ, contributing in all six-rotations, and constantly trying to improve and better herself. Unfortunately, Meyers missed her junior volleyball season due to an ACL tear, but she is back and better than ever – certainly being eyed by several coaches.
McKinley Moser (PPV 205) – VCNebraska: A 5-9 setter out of Waverly, McKinley leads her 16 Elite squad with utmost composure. She is wise beyond her years when it comes to reading the game, and that awareness – more often than not – allows for her hitters to achieve one-on-one scenarios and truly shine. Soft and quick hands combined with rigid precision, Moser is a star in the making, quietly commanding the game with a subtle confidence. She won’t overwhelm you with force or physicality, but with her innate knack for decision-making and high volleyball IQ, she would be a valuable asset to any team.
Halaeh Schuerman (PPV 162) – Nebraska ONE: Swift, efficient, and always on her toes, Haleah is a multi-faceted defensive specialist noted for her athleticism and relentlessness. She has experience in the outside and setter position, her dynamic abilities flaunted through her back-row play. She will do whatever it takes to keep the ball up; totaling 442 digs in her sophomore season, 3.2 per set at Wilber-Clatonia High School. An All-State honorable-mention, Haleah is only just beginning to receive some recognition for her abilities, and will only get more as she develops in the future. Speaking of such, she hasn’t set her sights too far – only an hour and half up I-80, attending Creighton’s camp. Could the Bluejays snag a homegrown recruit?
