The Next Wave: Player Profiles ‘30 and ‘31, Week 11

While we don’t rank the Classes of 2030 and 2031 due to their early stage of development, there is no shortage of standout talent from these young athletes worth recognizing. We’re excited to highlight these prospects and look forward to tracking their growth and sharing their journeys.

Class of 2030

​

Ilona Filippini: setter- Omni 14-1 National

Ilona Filippini has already built an impressive foundation as a setter, earning UA Next Camp MVP honors while competing at multiple college camps, including Stanford, UCLA, Cal Poly, and Santa Clara. Her experience in both indoor and beach volleyball gives her a well-rounded skill set that makes her a promising prospect to follow in the years ahead.

Coty Christofferson: setter- VOLT 14-1

Standing 6'1 with impressive athleticism, Coty Christofferson brings size and versatility while continuing to sharpen her game through camps at Minnesota and the Legacy College Coaches Camp. Her physical tools and commitment to competing in front of college programs make her a player worth tracking as she continues to develop.

Savannah Menger: libero/DS- Austin Jrs 15 Adidas

Savannah Menger has already experienced success on the national stage, helping her team capture the 2025 USAV 13 National Division championship then continuing to expand her game at camps with Rice and Alabama. Her winning background and dedication to improving her skills position her as an exciting defensive prospect in the Class of 2030.

Annelise Wagner: OH- United VBA 15 Adidas

Annelise Wagner has consistently showcased her abilities on the showcase circuit, earning Prep Dig Top Performer honors while attending three Prep Dig Showcases and continuing to expand her experience at Rice and Trinity University camps. As she continues to refine her all-around game, she has the tools to keep attracting attention from college programs throughout her recruiting journey.

Ramsey Brown: libero/DS- MJVA 15 Elite Black

Ramsey Brown capped off a successful club season with a trip to Nationals, showing the quick reaction time and defensive instincts that make her a dependable presence in the back row. After gaining additional instruction at camps with Kansas State, Ole Miss, and Wright State, she's continuing to build the foundation of an emerging Class of 2030 prospect.

Luciana Suarez Barrero: setter- OTVA 15 National Jenn

Luciana Suarez Barrero helped lead her team to a third-place Gold finish in the 14U division at AAU Nationals while continuing to elevate her game through the Florida camp circuit and Prep Dig showcases. Her success in high-level competition and willingness to seek out additional opportunities make her a setter with plenty of upside moving forward.

Raven Jackson Edwards: MB- Miami Hype 14 Prime 1

At 6'1, Raven Jackson Edwards combines size with a growing resume that includes 2025-26 Gulliver Prep Female Athlete of the Year honors and camp experience at UNC and TCU. As she continues to develop her game, her physical presence and early accomplishments make her a middle blocker to watch.

Sofia Shwer: OH- Arizona Sky 14 Gold

Sofia Shwer played a key role in a successful season for Arizona Sky, helping her team triple qualify before finishing the year at Nationals. With meaningful experience against strong competition already under her belt, she's an outside hitter who has the opportunity to continue making strides as she develops.

Class of 2031

Maclaine DeGroot: OPP/RS- Dallas Skyline Jrs 14 Royal Charlie

Maclaine DeGroot already has experience competing at a high level after helping her team earn a third-place finish in the 2026 USAV Nationals 13 Open Division. While she's currently recovering from an injury, her determination to return stronger highlights the resilience and potential that make her a young prospect to watch.

Ella Meyer: OPP/RS- Union VC 13 Elite Black 

Ella Meyer helped her team earn a third-place finish at the 2026 AAU Nationals while showcasing the all-around game that allows her to contribute on both sides of the ball. Her powerful swing paired with solid defensive instincts gives her a strong foundation as she continues to develop.

Diana Haro: setter- 808 AC 15/16

Diana Haro helped lead her team to the 2026 Transpacific AAU Championship, bringing energy and versatility to the setter position. Her dynamic style of play and outstanding character provide a strong foundation as she continues to grow her game.

Audrey Cayetano: OPP/RS- Vision VC 12 Gold

Aubrey Cayetano helped her team capture the 2026 NCVA Premier League Championship and finish among the Top 10 at the 2026 USAV Girls Junior National Championship. Those early team accomplishments provide a strong platform as she continues to develop her game in the Class of 2031.

Kaili Pizarro: setter- Wave 13- Hannah 

Kaili Pizarro has already earned opportunities to grow her game through UA Next Camp and an invitation to work with SoCal JVPA, valuable experiences for such a young setter. As she continues to develop her court leadership and decision-making, she'll be a player to follow.

Adalyn Musa: setter- Cleveland Wave 14 N1

Adalyn Musa impacts the game with a reliable serve and the ability to build strong connections with her hitters, helping her offense stay in rhythm. Those qualities give her an excellent base to continue developing as a young setter.

Isa Sharamitaro: OH- SC Rockstar 13 Moni

Isa Sharamitaro gained valuable experience at UA Next Camp and helped her team earn a Top 5 finish in the AAU Nationals Gold Bracket against strong competition. Those early accomplishments reflect a promising foundation as she continues to grow into her role as an outside hitter.
