Sasha Slaughter

2028 | MB | Vision VBC | Georgia Tech Commit

Sasha Slaughter continues to rise as one of the more notable middle blockers in the 2028 class. Slaughter recently made a club switch to Vision VBC and has continued building her résumé as one of the top middles to watch in her class. She helped earn a silver medal at the USAV National Championship in the 16 American Division and announced her verbal commitment to Georgia Tech on 6/18/26. Slaughter has continued to gain recruiting attention, with her size, athleticism, and ability to impact the game at the net making her a standout in the middle. As she continues competing against high-level competition, Slaughter is a player who will be closely followed as one of the rising names in the 2028 class.

Cat Nygaard

2027 | L/DS | A5 | William & Mary Commit

Cat Nygaard continues to trend upward following her July 2026 verbal commitment to William & Mary. The Chattanooga native has built a reputation as one of the Southeast's top defensive players, combining relentless effort with high-level instincts in serve receive and back-row defense. Nygaard has earned recognition throughout her career, including AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA All-Region Team, AAU Nationals All-Tournament Team, and Defensive Player of the Year at Girls Prep. She also surpassed 1,000 career digs during her junior season, a testament to her consistency and defensive impact. What continues to separate Nygaard is her work ethic and ability to read the game. She covers the floor exceptionally well, makes difficult defensive plays look routine, and consistently puts herself in position to extend rallies. She will be a great fit at William & Mary and a fun player to watch in the near future!

Layla Bain is making impressive strides for a young player in the 2031 class. The Adidas Dynasty libero/defensive specialist has recently added select camps at Kansas State and Tennessee, continuing to gain exposure at major collegiate programs well ahead of most players her age. Bain has also shown measurable physical growth, increasing her height from 5'3" to 5'4", while improving her approach touch from 103" to 105" and block touch from 98" to 100". With continued athletic development, early college camp experience, and the ability to also contribute as a secondary setter, Bain is putting together a strong foundation and is a young player trending in the right direction.

Gabriella Sofia Comey

2030 | L/DS/S | OTVA

Gabriella Sofia Comey continues to build an impressive résumé in the 2030 class. The OTVA libero/defensive specialist, who also has experience as a secondary setter, recently added select camps at Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, Tampa, Florida, and Vanderbilt, giving her exposure to a wide range of collegiate programs. Comey has also continued to improve athletically, recently increasing her approach touch to 107 inches. Between her growing camp résumé and continued physical development, Comey is putting together a strong offseason and is a player trending upward this week.

Lucy Zeiter continues to gain recognition as one of the stronger setters in the 2029 class. The SC Rockstar prospect was recently selected to the 1% Setter Combine on August 7, an opportunity reserved for a select group of setters. While she is still developing, Zeiter has already shown the qualities that have made her a high-level prospect. Earning an invitation to the 1% Setter Combine is another indicator that she is trending in the right direction and remains a player to watch as she continues to refine her game.

Caroline Wright

Caroline Wright had a big week, announcing her verbal commitment to Liberty University on July 19 while continuing to make strides athletically. The Tribe Volleyball opposite/outside hitter increased her approach touch from 118" to 120" and her block touch from 115" to 116", continuing an already impressive upward trend. Wright has built a strong résumé, highlighted by helping her team capture the 2025 AAU Open National Championship and a 2025 Florida State Championship, while also earning Palm Beach County & Broward County Second Team honors. With a commitment now secured and continued athletic improvements, Wright is carrying plenty of momentum into the next stage of her career.

Ravyn Medricky

2027 | MB/OH | Kairos | Charleston (WV) Commit

Ravyn Medricky is trending upward after announcing her verbal commitment to the University of Charleston (West Virginia) on July 26. The Kairos middle blocker/outside hitter has put together an impressive high school career, consistently earning recognition for both her play on the court and her work in the classroom. Medricky's résumé includes All-State Class A honors, multiple LMVC and SESD All-Conference selections, Academic All-State recognition, and being named a Mitchell Republic Volleyball Player of the Year finalist. She also made an immediate impact early in her career, finishing as the No. 1 blocker as a freshman in the Class A State Tournament.
