California Squads Dominate in Texas: Big Time Prospects Line All-Tourney List at Volleypalooza

California Squads Dominate in Texas: Big Time Prospects Line All-Tourney List at Volleypalooza

California Teams Dominate in Texas! Take over Volleypalooza

It was an All-California Championship Final in Austin during this year’s prestigious Volleypalooza Tourney Championship. In the end, Torrey Pines took the trophy back home to Cali, ending a losing streak vs. in-state rival Cathedral Catholic! The action in the Lone Star State had to be amazing all weekend long, and when you simply look at the All-Tourney list and top national talent that competed, you are going to see why. This kicks off a run of top national prep tourneys that head into October, featuring many of the top private schools in the nation and some of the top public schools as well, up until they start their school league play.

Take a look at the Volleypalooza All-Tourney Team and Special Awards, followed by their college commitment school and or VBAdrenaline Level Evaluation.

MVP: Finley Krystowiak - Torrey Pines 2026 Penn State Commit and new Gold Level Prospect

Kyrstowiak undervalued nationally early in the recruiting period is showing that she is a legit Top 5-6 OH in this powerful class and making the Nittany Lion staff look like geniuses.  She gets stronger every season.

Championship Match standouts:  Santa Clara commits shine

Attacking: Madyson McCarthy - Cathedral Catholic - Lipscomb Commit Elite Orange Prospect

*McCarthy was unstoppable in championship bracket play, and the Lipscomb staff has to be excited to get her to Nashville.

Back row Defense: Lila Green - Torrey Pines - Kansas Commit - Red Level Prospect

The Kansas commit was making plays all over the court with range, and her serve and receive were on point, especially during set 2 when TP actually was down to match point.  She was steady and solid.  Great news to Coach Ulmer and Jayhawk Nation.

At the net: Allison Dzieciuch - Cathedral Catholic - Santa Clara commit

The 6'4" Santa Clara commit did her thing and put up the big block for Cathedral Catholic, and she was a pain for offensive attackers all tournament long.

Top Setter: Emery Gonzalez - Torrey Pines - Santa Clara Commit - Elite Orange Prospect

Gonzalez kept her talented weapons happy right through the championship point.  Emery is making sure she is a name that isn't forgotten amongst the best floor generals on the West Coast.

All-Tourney Team:

Kensley Hennessy, Cathedral Catholic - Colorado Commit - Green Prospect

Olivia Greenwood, Cathedral Catholic - 2027 Uncommitted - Elite Red Prospect

*One of the top unsigned 27s in the nation and the top Opp left for certain.  Greenwood continues to impress at the prep level.

Baylee Wilson, Cathedral Catholic - 2029* Uncommitted - Red Prospect

Wilson is impressing everyone on the tourney committee with her skills, and when you are a 2029 playing in the tournament, you know that Wilson has a big future ahead of her for Cathedral Catholic and at the prep, club, and eventually college level.

Jaycee Mack, Torrey Pines - 2027 Baylor Commit -

Mack continues to be a huge weapon and great combo with Krystowiak, and the six rotation continues to improve her game, and Baylor fans get ready.

Simone Heard - Plano East - Georgia Tech Commit -Elite Orange Level

Heard's game is explosive, and she brings the heat when she unloads on the ball.  She was bringing it for her Plano team all weekend.

Marisabelle Sias - Plano East - 2026 Uncommitted

Dakota Huynh- Plano East - 2027 Uncommitted - Elite Orange Level

Da’Mya Mann - Harlan - Oklahoma Commit - Elite Orange Level Prospect

Nailah Randle - Harlan - LSU Commit - Elite Red Level Prospect

Randle did her thing and picked up where she left off in the Summer.  A great weekend for the future Tiger as her Harlan squad made the Championship Bracket.

Gentry Barker - Lake Travis - SDSU Commit - Silver Level Prospect

Cali Reece - Grand Oaks - Uncommitted - Green Level Prospect

Halle Thompson - Grand Oaks - Wisconsin Commit - Diamond Level Prospect

A different squad for Thompson's senior season, but the talent of that powerful arm and the explosion on her takeoff are still the same.  She's still one of the best in Texas.

Campbell Sheffield - Allen - Uncommitted 2026 - Green Level Prospect

Maya Ogbogu - Allen - Uncommitted 2028 - Gold Level Prospect

Ogbogu is showing early why she's one of the best in the Class of 2028 and bringing it at the Prep Level as well.  Dominating for Allen High like she did all Summer.  Another honor for one of our highest-rated prospects in America.

Sarah Floyd - Highland Park - Uncommitted 2028 - Diamond Level Prospect

Speaking of our highest-rated prospect in the Class of 2028, Floyd did her thing for her Highland Park squad, making the All-Tourney Team.  Floyd is the one to watch on the Opp for the Class of 2028. I can't imagine how she dominates at the prep level.  She is currently our #1 2028, and everyone knows about her.

Gigi Whan - Highland Park - Uncommitted 2026 - Green Level Prospect

Brooklyn Bailey - Highland Park - Memphis Commit - Green Level Prospect
