Create a Player ProfileChart Shuffler: Gold Level Star Marlee Steiner makes Mizzou fans happy and jolts Tigers into Top 15

Mizzou is red hot recruiting in this 2027 class, and their latest addition was the biggest. The Tigers have added multiple pieces that appear to be "SEC Capable Athletes" that will step in and continue to push the Tiger momentum forward, but none quite as much as St. Louis middle blocker and the latest addition to the 2027 Class, Marlee Steiner. Steiner, a Gold Level Prospect with a 276 PPV score by VBAdrenaline.com, is the highest-rated Mizzou verbal.
The HPSTL middle attacke is such a highly rated prospect that her score added to the Mizzou class and helped boost Mizzou's recruiting class rank from #19 to #14 nationally and #5 in the powerful SEC. This is a program high-water mark for the Tigers since the VBAdrenaline scoring system went into place 4 years ago, and Steiner is the Tigers' 2nd highest PPV-rated recruit in the PPV area (only behind current freshman and UA All-American Harvey).
"I think the diversity of the class shows that prospects are paying attention to Mizzou and their staff does have a national appeal," head scout director for VBAdrenaline Darren Tipton commented, "bringing in a top setter from Cali, keeping Steiner home in Missouri and then an East Coast outside shows you Mizzou can literally attract from anywhere to it's central location." Tipton goes on to talk about the way the Mizzou staff has built the class, "This is another school that has built a Top 15 class more like a football program would have to, and not like the 3 or 4 Blue Blood programs are able to. Actually recruiting athletes over time and getting very talented Elite Red and Gold Level prospects after August is impressive. They are building relationships, and getting girls to wait is impressive. I'm all for this method, and I hope more athletes follow what an athlete like Steiner did in the years to come."
Regardless, this commitment goes a long way for the Tigers, not just ranking-wise, but for the depth of their program. Marlee will need to work on her strength before taking the court in the SEC, but if she can get on the court her Freshman year and help Mizzou, they are looking at some talented athletes that have mostly come from their recruiting efforts the past couple of classes.
