McKenzie Andrews & Chayse Courtney | 2028 | Stanford
Stanford's 2028 recruiting class will eventually bring together two highly regarded prospects in McKenzie Andrews and Chayse Courtney, giving the Cardinal a future duo with plenty of national-level experience and two very different skill sets. At 6'5", Andrews is a middle blocker from Legacy who has already competed at some of the highest levels of the sport. A VBAdrenaline America's Top 200 selection and Top 30 player, Andrews has been part of a 2025 NORCECA championship team and the U17 National Team. She has also earned JVA All-National Team recognition, two Under Armour invites, seven NTDP invites and a 2025 high school state championship. Courtney is a 6'1" OH/OPP/DS from Mitty High School and another VBAdrenaline America's Top 200 selection, ranked No. 85. She has participated in four NTDP Training Sessions and two NTDP Experiences in Kansas City. . She earned WCAL First Team All-League honors and helped Mitty win the WCAL and CIF/CCS Open Championships. She also got an All-American Honorable Mention for her 16U club season. With Andrews bringing elite size in the middle and Courtney offering versatility across multiple positions, Stanford is bringing in two players with extensive national experience who should give the program plenty of options when they eventually share the court.
Sophia Austen & Tristyn Ervin | Iowa State
Iowa State will eventually bring together two high-level prospects in Sophia Austen and Tristyn Ervin, giving the program a future connection between a versatile attacker and an experienced setter. Austen is a 6'2" OH/OPP from Iowa City West High School who has consistently performed well on the national club stage. More recently, she earned GJNC All-American honors in 2025 and followed that with another All-Tournament Team selection in the 17 National division in 2026. She has also been part of the UA Next pipeline and has established herself as a highly competitive prospect in the 2027 class. Austen currently has a 120-inch approach touch. Ervin, a 5'10" setter from North Pacific Juniors, has also gained experience through the UA Next pipeline and has continued to develop as a high-level setter. She currently has a 116-inch approach touch and will bring her ability to run an offense to the Cyclones' future roster. With Austen's size and attacking versatility paired with Ervin's setting ability, the two will eventually give Iowa State a promising combination from two different recruiting classes.
Abbie Powell & Sophia Polec | 2028 | Ohio State
Ohio State's 2028 class will eventually bring together two talented middle blockers in Abbie Powell and Sophia Polec, giving the Buckeyes a future pairing with plenty of size and physicality at the net.
Powell is a 6'0" MB/OH from Munciana and Southern Wells High School who has already established herself as one of Indiana's more productive young attackers. As a freshman in 2024, she led the state in hitting percentage at .544 while ranking fourth nationally. She followed that season by earning 2025 Indiana 1A First Team All-State honors, along with ACAC First Team All-Conference and District 6 First Team recognition. Powell currently has a 120-inch approach touch. Polec brings even more size at 6'3" and plays middle blocker for Adversity and Lane Tech High School. She is an active middle with impressive pin-to-pin blocking range, strong lateral movement and a high motor. Polec has already earned multiple Player of the Game honors during her high school career and helped lead Lane Tech to the 2025 Leyden Varsity Tournament championship, where she was named to the All-Tournament Team. With Powell's proven offensive production paired with Polec's size, blocking range and defensive presence, Ohio State will eventually have an intriguing combination of middle blockers from the same recruiting class.
Nikolina Djordjevich & Olivia Ambeau | 2028 | Arizona
Arizona is bringing together two exciting 2028 prospects in Nikolina Djordjevich and Olivia Ambeau, giving the Wildcats a future pairing with plenty of size, athleticism and versatility at the net. Djordjevich is a 2028 OH/OPP from AZ Storm Elite and Mountain View High School who stands out for her explosive offensive ability, high volleyball IQ and strong presence at the net. She does a great job contacting the ball at the highest point of her swing and uses her size effectively on the pin. As a front-row player, she brings the ability to score while also contributing as a blocker. Ambeau is a 6'0" S/OPP from 501 Volleyball Club and Cabot High School who has already earned significant recognition, including three AVCA Phenom selections. She has also been a two-time UA Next attendee, giving her experience in high-level training environments alongside some of the top players in her class. With Djordjevich bringing an explosive presence on the pin and Ambeau offering versatility as both a setter and attacker, the two give Arizona an intriguing combination for the future. Both players have already established themselves as prospects to watch, and they'll eventually have the opportunity to develop together in Tucson.
Allison Toft & Haedyn Lynnes | Kansas State
A front-row presence and a defensive specialist make for an interesting future combination in Manhattan, where 2027 MB/OH Allison Toft and 2028 libero/DS Haedyn Lynnes are both headed to Kansas State. At 6'2", Toft gives the Wildcats plenty of size and versatility up front. The Durant High School standout can contribute as both a middle and outside hitter, giving her the ability to impact the game in different rotations. She has the physical tools to be a factor at the net while continuing to develop her offensive game and overall consistency. Lynnes brings a completely different skill set. The Adidas Dynasty and Mill Valley High School libero/DS has already earned All-Sunflower League recognition and attended UA Next in 2025. Her defensive instincts, serve-receive ability and experience competing at a high level give Kansas State a player who can bring stability to the back row. The two will arrive in different classes, but their skill sets should complement one another nicely. Toft's size and versatility at the net paired with Lynnes' defensive ability gives Kansas State two very different pieces to build around as both players work toward their college careers.
Mia Furoyama & Audie Caban | Rice
Rice's 2027 class is bringing together two players who impact the game in completely different ways. Hawaii Next Level libero/DS Mia Furoyama will bring an accomplished defensive résumé, while WAVE middle blocker Audie Caban adds significant size and a physical presence at the net. Furoyama has established herself as one of Hawaii's top defensive players. The Mid-Pacific Institute senior currently ranks No. 1 in Hawaii across Division I and the Interscholastic League in total digs, averaging 3.3 digs per set with more than 121 digs already recorded early in her senior season. She was also the top defensive leader in the league as a junior, finishing the 2025-26 season with 328 digs while averaging 4.5 digs per set. Her consistency and ability to cover the court will give Rice a reliable presence in the back row. On the other side of the net, Caban is a 6'4" middle blocker from WAVE and Mission Bay High School who has earned a reputation for her physicality and blocking ability. She has been described as a "blocking machine," using her size and presence to take away multiple attacking angles. Caban also brings plenty of offensive production, surpassing 1,000 career high school kills during her junior season. She has earned First Team All-League honors in the CIF San Diego Section, an AVCA All-Region selection and a tournament MVP award. With Furoyama anchoring the back row and Caban bringing size and physicality to the net, Rice is getting two players who have already established themselves as major contributors at the high school level. Their contrasting strengths should give the Owls an intriguing combination as they arrive in Houston together as members of the 2027 class.
Ashlyn Quiri & Mollie VanDeusen | Florida State
Florida State's 2027 class already has plenty of star power, and two of its future pieces, Ashlyn Quiri and Mollie VanDeusen, have been putting together standout senior seasons in very different ways. Quiri is a 6'2" outside hitter from AZ Sky and Ironwood Ridge High School who has been one of the most productive players in the country. In 2026, she landed on the AVCA High School All-American Watch List, earned 4A First Team All-State and All-Region honors, and was named Offensive Player of the Year. She also became a member of the 1,000-career-kill club. Quiri's international résumé has added another major highlight to her 2026 season. She helped Team USA win the BIP-SE title at the Global Challenge in Pula while earning MVP honors. She also earned MVP honors as part of a first-place finish at the event, giving her another opportunity to compete against high-level international talent. VanDeusen brings a different type of impact as a 6'1" setter/opposite from WPVC and Beachside High School. As a senior captain in 2026, she has led Beachside to an undefeated start, including the best 8-0 opening in program history. In a September 15 matchup against Ponte Vedra, VanDeusen put together a huge all-around performance with 16 assists, 11 kills and 10 digs. She was also recognized as the Jacksonville area's Best Girls Volleyball Player in August. There's an especially fun connection between the two future Seminoles: VanDeusen was Quiri's setter during Team USA's championship run at the Global Challenge in Pula. Now both are headed to Florida State, giving the Seminoles a future connection that has already had the chance to compete together on an international stage.
Ellery DeBoer & Lauren Forelli | Michigan State
Michigan State is adding two 6'0-plus-caliber offensive pieces to its 2027 class, with 5'11" setter Ellery DeBoer and 6'2" outside hitter Lauren Forelli bringing plenty of high-level experience to East Lansing. DeBoer has built an impressive résumé with MN Select and Willmar High School, including six USAV NTDP invites and two UA Next invites Her club résumé includes an AAU MVP award and a national championship, giving her experience in big moments against strong competition. That combination of size, national-level experience and setting ability gives Michigan State an intriguing piece to work with in the 2027 class. Forelli has been making her own mark at the high school level with AZ Revolution and Liberty High School. The 6'2" outside hitter reached the 1,000-career-kill milestone in September 2026, a major accomplishment that reflects her production throughout her high school career. She has become known for her dominant front-row presence, using her size to make an impact as an attacker and giving Michigan State another physical option on the pins. With DeBoer running the offense and Forelli providing a big target at the net, the two give Michigan State a strong combination of size and offensive firepower in the 2027 class.
