The Next Wave: Player Profiles ‘30 and ‘31, Week 7

While we don’t rank the Classes of 2030 and 2031 due to their early stage of development, there is no shortage of standout talent from these young athletes worth recognizing. We’re excited to highlight these prospects and look forward to tracking their growth and sharing their journeys.  

Class of 2030

Chloe Echols: OH- IVBA SOAR 14 REN

OH Chloe Echols is an emerging athlete whose powerful swing allows her to generate offense and put pressure on opposing defenses. Echols has already taken steps to gain exposure by attending the Lower Alabama Volleyball Club College Recruiting Camp and continues to build a strong foundation for the future.

Reese Baty: OH- Shockwave 14 Black

Standing at 5'11, Reese Baty brings size and versatility to the OH position, using her athleticism to impact the match in multiple ways. Her experience competing in both indoor and beach volleyball, along with attending the Midwest Prenational College Camp, has helped shape a well-rounded skill set with plenty of upside.

Abigail Chang: setter- Metro 14 Travel 

Setter Abigail Chang does an excellent job orchestrating the offense, consistently building strong connections with her hitters and creating quality scoring opportunities. She helped lead her team to a championship in the 14 Open division at the Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic, showcasing her ability to guide an offense in high-level competition.

Mila Clark: OH- Alliance 14 REN

OH Mila Clark combines her 5'10 frame with a strong vertical leap, allowing her to play above the net and make an impact as an attacker. Her athleticism gives her a high ceiling on the outside, and she is developing into a player capable of creating points in a variety of ways.

Anna Bradley: libero/DS- OTVA Tampa 14 Veronika

Libero/DS Anna Bradley has established herself as a reliable presence in the backcourt, bringing steady ball control and a strong defensive mindset to her team. She gained valuable exposure at the 407 Volleyball Club College Camp and helped OTVA Tampa 14 Veronika earn a second-place finish in the Gold division at Nike First in Show, adding to her growing list of competitive experiences.

Emmy Bourne: libero/DS- Alamo 14 Premier

Libero/DS Emmy Bourne continues to make a name for herself as a standout player, earning recognition as a 2026 UA Next MVP and securing an invitation to the 2027 High School UA Next Camp. With additional experience at the Alamo Volleyball College Camp and Baylor camp, she has already demonstrated the drive to seek out high-level competition and development opportunities.

Kaila Banks: OPP/RS- Metro 14 Travel

OPP/RS Kaila Banks has proven to be a force at the net, earning Best Blocker honors at the Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic while helping Metro 14 Travel capture the championship. Her ability to impact matches on both sides of the ball was also evident during the team's runner-up finish at JVA SummerFest, highlighting her value as an elite athlete.

Annie Lum: OH- IVBA 14 REN

OH Annie Lum continues to gain valuable experience against strong competition, highlighted by her attendance at a UA Next Camp and her team's championship run at the Rajin’ Cajun AAU Grand Prix. As a pin hitter, she brings promising potential and is steadily building the tools needed to make an impact at higher levels of the game.

Class of 2031

Sienna Juarez: libero/RS- MVA 13 Pedro Elite

Libero/DS Sienna Juarez is earning experience through a variety of high-level training opportunities, including the MVA Pro Clinic and a youth camp led by several standout Nebraska players. She also helped her team capture a championship at the ROC President’s Day Volleyball Summit, adding to an impressive early foundation in her volleyball development.

Harper Coleman: libero/DS- Arete 13 NT 

Libero/DS Harper Coleman has been part of a highly successful Arete 13 NT squad that earned three separate bids to nationals, showcasing consistency throughout the season. She has also sought out additional opportunities to grow her game by attending a TCU college camp, continuing to build experience and confidence in the backcourt.

Kaliyah G-Watson: MB/RS- A5 West 13 Arieon 

At 5'11, Kaliyah G-Watson already possesses impressive size for a young MB/RS player and uses her physical tools to make an impact at the net. What stands out most is her commitment to improvement, consistently putting in extra work outside of team practices to continue elevating her game.

Eden Armstrong: libero/DS- TAV 13 Black 

Libero/DS Eden Armstrong brings versatility to the court, competing in both indoor and beach volleyball while continuing to expand her overall skill set. She helped TAV 13 Black earn a third-place finish at the 2026 National Championships and has gained additional experience through opportunities such as SMU Volleyball Camp.

Kayla Sanks: S/OH- HJV 14 Elite 

Kayla Sanks brings versatility to the court as both a setter and OH, using her quick feet and high energy level to stay involved in every play. She helped her team capture a regional championship and continues to show promising potential with her athleticism and competitive approach to the game.

Violet McGraw: MB/RS- Union VBC 13-1 Black 

Standing at 5'10, Violet McGraw brings a strong physical presence to the MB and RS positions, giving her the ability to impact matches at the net. She has been a part of back-to-back third-place finishes at AAU Nationals in 2025 and 2026, gaining high-level experience competing against some of the top teams in the country.

Priya Gonzalez: S/RS- 1United 14NW Taylor 

Priya Gonzalez brings versatility to the court as a setter/right-side player, allowing her to impact the match in multiple roles. A UA Next Camp attendee, she also helped 1United 14NW Taylor capture a Fun Fest championship while showcasing her competitive nature and all-around skill set.
