The Next Wave: Player Profiles ‘30 and ‘31, Week 3

While we don’t rank the Classes of 2030 and 2031 due to their early stage of development, there is no shortage of standout talent from these young athletes worth recognizing. We’re excited to highlight these prospects and look forward to tracking their growth and sharing their journeys.  

Class of 2030

Londyn Cottrill: OH- Legacy 14-1 Adidas  

OH Londyn Cottrill has already established herself as an emerging prospect at 6’1, combining a powerful swing with advanced court vision that consistently shows up on film. Coming off a 2025 AAU 13 Open National Championship and gaining exposure at camps with programs like Nebraska, Michigan State, UNC, and Duke, Cottrill projects as a future impact attacker with significant recruiting potential.

Sophie Frietch: libero/DS- NKYVC 15-1

Libero/DS Sophie Frietch continues to emerge as a leader in her class, earning recognition through the UA Next MS Camp while serving as a crucial member of NKYVC 15-1. With growing exposure at camps with programs including Louisville, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and CU Boulder, Frietch projects as a steady backcourt presence known for leadership, defensive consistency, and competitive energy.

Myra Coryell: MB- United VBA 14 Purple

MB Mrya Coryell continues to make an impact as a strong front-row presence, helping United VBA 14 Purple secure consistently high finishes in major tournaments. Bringing size and physicality at the net, Coryell’s blocking ability and developing offensive game give her intriguing long-term potential as a high-level middle.

Ava De Moor: setter- 1United 13 Nat Blue 

Setter Ava De Moor has proven herself on the national stage with appearances at GJNC in 2024, 2025, and 2026, showing consistency and experience against high-level competition. Through her strong connection with hitters and positive on-court presence, De Moor projects as a steady floor leader with the ability to elevate the players around her.

Bahar Graham: MB- Tribe 14 VKTRY Cardinal

MB Bahar Graham brings impressive size at 6’1 along with the physical tools to develop into a major front-row force at the next level. Competing for Tribe 14 VKTRY Cardinal, Graham helped lead her team to the 2026 14 Open Lone Star Classic Championship and a double qualification to USAV Nationals while also gaining exposure at camps with Alabama, Duke, and Wake Forest.

Amina Reaves: OH- Austin Performance 14 Adidas

OH Amina Reaves continues to trend upward after helping Austin Performance 14 Adidas secure a 3rd-place finish at Lone Star Regionals and earn a bid to Nationals. Bringing loads of positive energy on the court along with her strong blocking presence, Reaves projects as a dynamic two-way outside with impactful front-row potential.

 

Liv Gray: setter- WD Nation 15 Blue

Setter Liv Gray brings versatility and competitiveness to the court for WD Nation 15 Blue, showing the ability to not only run an offense at the setter position but can also contribute reliably at the OPP/RS position. With strong hustle, dynamic all-around ability, and exposure at camps with LSU and Arkansas, Gray projects as a multi-dimensional playmaker with intriguing long-term upside.

Josie Cauley: OH- IVBA 14 REN 

OH Josie Cauley has consistently competed and succeeded at a high level, helping Infinity 14 REN capture SoHo Championships in 2025 and 2026 along with a 2026 Ragin Cajun title while also earning UA Next MS Camp recognition. Her ability to play up an age division with IVBA 15 REN at Lone Star highlights both her maturity and upside as a developing outside hitter with strong long-term recruiting potential.

Class of 2031

Aria Sherpy: OH/DS - 1United 13 N White

OH/DS Aria Sherpy is an emerging young prospect who continues to gain valuable high-level experience, helping 1United 13 N White earn a 3rd-place finish at Lone Star and a bid to Nationals. Still developing her game, Sherpy has already gained additional exposure through the 2025 Prep Dig Up Next Showcase and shows long-term potential as a versatile player.

Lillian Barber: OH- EMV 13-1

OH Lillian Barber is beginning to establish herself as a leader and impact player, serving as team captain for EMV 13-1. After helping her team earn an Open bid to Nationals at the Northeast Qualifier, Barber’s early leadership qualities and developing game point toward strong long-term potential.

Iyana Carter: OH- Brusa Premier 13-1 

OH Iyana Carter is a versatile young prospect who continues to build her game against strong competition with Brusa Premier 13-1. Carter has already gained valuable exposure as a 2025 Prep Dig Up Next Showcase attendee and has an admirable work ethic, showing a promising future within the sport.

Payton Marrow: libero/DS- MVA 14 National 

Libero/DS Payton Marrow is an athletic defensive prospect competing for MVA 14 National, already showing maturity beyond her age while coming off a Gaston County State Championship. With her quickness and strong footwork standing out early in her development, Marrow has the tools to become a high-level backcourt defender.

Savannah Reid: libero/DS- A5 13-Karen

Libero/DS Savannah Reid is a young standout continuing to make an impact for A5 13-Karen, leading her team to secure a 2nd-place finish at the Sunshine Classic and earn a bid to Nationals. Reid’s hustle, energy, and willingness to compete every point give her a promising future as she continues to grow in her game. 

Blake Singleton: setter/RS- Skyline 13 Black 

Setter/RS Blake Singleton is a key player for Skyline 13 Black whose overall athleticism allows her to impact the game in multiple ways. Singleton’s versatility and physical tools give her an advantage on the court as a dynamic setter/RS option.

Olivia Utz: libero/DS- Metro VBC 13 Travel 

Libero/DS Olivia Utz is an elite force, already gaining valuable experience in high-level competition with Metro VBC 13 Travel. After helping her team capture the JVA Charm City 13 Open title and win gold in a 14C event to open the season, Utz is showing early signs of having a successful volleyball career.
