Makun and Meester Officially Join the Cards

Memorial Day Monday marked move-in day for the final members of Louisville Volleyball’s highly anticipated 2025 class. Addison Makun and Chloe Meester have officially arrived on campus—and the excitement is real.

The Cardinal coaching staff welcomed the duo at Denny Crum Hall, helping them settle in and kick off what’s expected to be a defining chapter for the program. With their arrival, Louisville’s full incoming class is now on campus, rounding out one of the most decorated recruiting classes in program history.

Meester, a physical and dynamic outside hitter, and Makun, a versatile two-way middle with a high ceiling, are already expected to compete for early playing time. Both players bring elite athleticism and the kind of competitive edge that could translate immediately on the court.

They'll now dive into summer classes, team workouts, and open gyms, beginning the acclimation process and laying the foundation for a strong freshman season.
