Immediate UPGRADE

Sheffield didn't find a portal answer, so he brought Champion in as a Class of 2026.

Rumor had it that Wisconsin was looking for an immediate impact Outside Hitter that could solidify their otherwise National Championship-ready 2026 lineup.  When very few high-impact options became available in the Spring Portal Window, there was nothing the Badgers could really do to upgrade the young position group (or so most thought).

That all changed today, when the volleyball prepped for the Class of 2028's big day, the old off-season magician and leader of Badger Nation, made one very big roster trick that only a few close to the Badger HC could have seen coming.  Kelly Sheffield was able to get foreign Wonder Child Decelise Champion a 6'6" Outside Hitter/Opposite (hell she's a volleyball player) moved up a year and is now classified as a 2026 and will immediately be a member of the Wisconsin program.  She will also be in the Badger lineup in August.

This does a few things.

It gives the Badgers their 2nd legit college-ready OH and solidifies a Natty Run.  2nd it gives the Badgers an improved recruiting class in the B1G and the nation for 2026 and it shows that Wisconsin is every bit in this National Title conversation as anyone else is now for San Antonial
