There were some major shakeups this past weekend in Big Ten volleyball, which caused some major movements in this week’s top 25, including one Big Ten team moving into the top 25 this week.
There are seven Big 10 teams ranked in this week’s AVCA top 25 poll, led by the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The Cornhuskers remain undefeated after their sweep of Maryland over the weekend.
The next highest-ranked team is the Wisconsin Badgers at No. 7, who, like the Cornhuskers, have swept their first two Big Ten opponents of the season.
Their biggest win so far this year was against the No. 23-ranked Florida Gators in one of the most exciting matches of the season thus far.
Rounding out the top 10 is the Minnesota Gophers. The Gophers are also undefeated in Big Ten play, along with the UCLA Bruins, who joined the top 25 this week at No.24.
UCLA had a huge victory over the weekend versus No. 16 Penn State. Rounding out the top 25 are No. 13 Purdue Boilermakers and No. 17 USC Trojans.
