The Next Wave: Player Profiles ‘30 and ‘31, Week 5

While we don’t rank the Classes of 2030 and 2031 due to their early stage of development, there is no shortage of standout talent from these young athletes worth recognizing. We’re excited to highlight these prospects and look forward to tracking their growth and sharing their journeys.  

Class of 2030

Aubree Edral: libero/DS- A5 14-MoBetty

Libero/DS Aubree Edral continues to establish herself as a standout defender, bringing quickness, versatility, and a high-level feel for the game to A5 14-MoBetty. Being a part of a triple-qualified Nationals squad and early exposure at Alabama and Florida camps, Edral is building an impressive resume while proving she can impact matches in multiple ways from the backcourt.

Jocelyn Bridie: setter- Dallas Skyline 14 Royal

Setter Jocelyn Bridie has emerged as a top floor leader for Dallas Skyline 14 Royal, showcasing strong decision-making, connections with her hitters, and the ability to make quick adjustments throughout a match. As a back-to-back Triple Crown champion and after leading her squad to become double-qualified for Nationals, Bridie continues to elevate her profile in the Class of 2030. 

Kiki Wright: OH- SMASH 17-1

OH Kiki Wright is quickly becoming one of the most intriguing young prospects in the Class of 2030, combining a 6-foot frame, elite athleticism, and an explosive vertical while competing well above her age division with SMASH 17-1. A USAV NTDP U15 selection and UA NEXT Middle School MVP, Wright has already attracted attention through camps at Kentucky, Louisville, UCF, and UConn, showcasing the high ceiling that makes her a player to watch nationally.

Stevie Lee: libero/DS- Dallas Skyline 14 Royal- Josh 

Libero/DS Stevie Lee brings relentless energy and steady ball control to the backcourt for Dallas Skyline 14 Royal, consistently helping her team stay composed in high-pressure moments. After helping her squad earn a third-place finish in the 14U Open division at Triple Crown, Lee continues to stand out with her defensive instincts and competitive presence on the court.

Brielle Cardoso: OPP/RS- OTVA Tampa 14 Jody 

OPP/RS Brielle Cardoso is a versatile prospect who impacts the game in multiple ways, excelling as both an attacker and setter for OTVA 14 Jody. At 5'10, Cardoso has helped her team to a 14 Open Triple Crown Championship and continues to prove herself against top competition with consistent performances in high-level tournaments throughout the season.

Petra Townsend: OPP/RS- Legacy 14-1 Adidas 

OPP/RS Petra Townsend is a physically imposing prospect whose 6'2" frame, explosive play, and leadership qualities make her a standout on Legacy 14-1 Adidas. After helping secure a 14 Open bid to Nationals, Townsend will look to build on her championship profile as a member of the 2025 13U Open National Championship team and pursue another title on the national stage.

Emory Glover: libero/DS- United VBA 14 Purple 

Libero/DS Emory Glover has been a key contributor in the backcourt for United VBA 14 Purple, bringing dependable defense and a steady presence to a team that captured championships at both the FSC and Round Rock tournaments. With experience at Texas A&M camp and continued success on the court, Glover is a standout who continues to prove herself as a prospect to watch.

Lainey Holt: MB- Passion VBC 15 Blue 

MB Lainey Holt brings on-court energy and an explosive offensive presence for Passion VBC 15 Blue. After helping her team capture the Can-Am Classic title and earn a third-place finish at the Nike Circuit Gauntlet, Holt continues to make an impact in the Class of 2030 with her athleticism, competitive fire, and ability to score at the net.

Class of 2031

Regan Dixon: setter- Tulsa Power 13-1

Setter Regan Dixon has been a steady force behind the success of Tulsa Power 13-1, directing the offense with calm consistency. With a Big South Qualifier championship, a runner-up finish at Lone Star to secure a second Nationals bid, and a season filled with strong results in major events, Dixon continues to establish herself as a prospect to watch in the Class of 2031.

Aelicia Lee: OH/DS- Legacy1 13-1

Aelicia Lee has been a versatile contributor for Legacy 13-1, impacting the game as both an OH and DS while bringing relentless hustle and determination to every point. After helping her team capture the 13 Open title at the California Kickoff, Lee continues to emerge as a promising prospect.

Cora Jones: OH- SMASH 14-1

OH Cora Jones continues to impress the recruiting world, competing up an age division with SMASH 14-1 while utilizing her 6-foot frame to make an impact against older competition. Following a Mid-Atlantic Opener championship and a third-place finish in the highly competitive 15 Open division at the AAU Grand Prix, Jones is proving she can thrive on big stages and against top-level opponents.

Eden Fotso: MB/DS- HJV 13 Elite

Eden Fotso brings a unique combination of versatility and competitiveness to HJV 13 Elite, contributing as both a MB and DS while consistently impacting matches with a strong serve game. After helping her team earn a Nationals bid at the LSR Tournament, Fotso continues to stand out through her work ethic and willingness to make plays in every phase of the game.

London Majors: MB- 1United 13 Blue 

MB London Majors continues to elevate her profile as an elite athlete, combining a powerful swing with an advanced style of play that allows her to impact matches on both sides of the net. After earning Top Performer honors at the Prep Dig Up Next Showcase and helping 1United 13 Blue secure a third Nationals bid at the Far Western Qualifier, Majors has shown she can excel against high-level competition.

Avery Young: MB/OH- TX United 13 Red 

Avery Young is a versatile prospect who brings value as both a MB and OH for TX United 13 Red, showcasing the ability to contribute in multiple roles. With experience at Houston and Nebraska college camps, participation in the UA Next MS Camp, and a Nationals bid earned at Lone Star Regionals, Young continues to build a strong foundation for future success.

Avalina Lamb: setter/DS- M2 13-1 Elite  

Avalina Lamb has been a dependable playmaker for M2 13-1 Elite, contributing as both a setter and DS while bringing a positive attitude and team-first mentality to the court. A participant at the UA Next Middle School Camp, Lamb also helped lead her team to a championship in the 14 Club division at the SVT Commanders Cup, highlighting her ability to contribute to winning performances.
