Create a Player ProfileClass of 2029: PPV Evals Updated. Nearly 200 Prospects Graded (EARLY)
.png)
The talented group of 2029 is off and over a month into their 15s season. Playing a very high level of volleyball. Part by serious request and part because we simply are forced to, to stay in business nowadays in this world of "rankings, rankings," we are putting out our first full class list of a 15s PPVs list. By doing so we still want to be clear of a few things:
*These aren't rankings, and you need to spend time understanding our "Talent/Prestige Level Guide" that matters quite a bit more than what "spot" you are in right now.
It is nice to be on this list and be mentioned, but this IS STILL VERY EARLY, and these evals will change quite a bit this season (and summer) and through the Fall. So just plan on it.
OUR LISTS ARE DIFFERENT: These are not popularity contests, we do not go off of high school stats and what you do in high school or middle school honestly doesn't matter at all and we absolutely do not pay attention to the other websites' rankings.
Our scores and PPVs are a culmination of several factors, including physical scores (height, approach touch, etc), film breakdown (this entire class was done by two former D1 recruiting coordinators), and input from other professional scouts who evaluate for a living. So we are very confident that our evaluation system is more accurate than the other sites. That being said, these athletes are young, and we are projecting them AS COLLEGE PROSPECTS and NOT 15-year-old players.
Also, we know that we do not have everyone in the class, and as other great prospects are added, that will move others up and down, but it does NOT change their PPV Score. This is another big difference between a RANKING and an EVALUATION. With a ranking, if you add someone above them, they automatically drop, even if they did nothing wrong. Because it's an Evaluation Score, the score is the same; there is simply another talented athlete joining them on the list. They didn't get worse.
****WE just want to attempt to clarify those few things because the 15s season is still a huge season of growth and development, and no matter where you are on the list, know you are not locked in there by any means.
Here are some of the biggest jumpers or biggest discrepancies in our list and others:
Caroline Conroy - MB Metro Maryland Gold Level Prospect
Conroy is one of the "higher-ceiling" athletes in this class, and the right eyes are seeing that. Invites and solid performances at NTDP and UA Next camps in the last 6 months have started things moving for the Metro prospect. She is the example of why you don't do rankings at 14 and 15. She will be a much different player at 17 than she is today. Watch her move into a top MB prospect target in this class.
Geralynn Byers-Veal - OH Austin Juniors Texas Silver Level Prospect
We touched on Byers-Veal earlier and know that she is the top hoops prospect, but this would be a great flip for the volleyball community. She has that jump-for-days body and a heavy-heavy arm. Give her full-time training. Dangerous.
Carolyn Maria - Setter METRO Virginia Silver Level Prospect
This is actually our top riser; we just couldn't put two Metros together. We haven't made an outrageous call in a bit, so here is one: having just been invited to her first NTDP session, we are predicting that Maria works her way up the USA VB ladder quickly and gets a National Team tryout at some point. Watch for her to be a top setter prospect target in the class, potentially by NIT time next year. We are very high on her.
Alaina McGuire - Setter KC Power Kansas Elite Red Level Prospect
Alaina, carrying on the history of solid setters in the outer KC area, is another P4 player in the making. Length and the court savvy to play in the bigtime.
Auden Hummel - OH Munciana, Indiana, Red Level Prospect
We have already addressed Hummel a couple of times, and her play at NIT justified our coverage.
Collyns Livermore - Setter, Kansas, Shockwave Volleyball Elite Orange Level Prospect
Livermore is another who has the high-ceiling tag. With the length to land a legit offer and evolving skills in her game to the next level, Livermore is another in the USA VB pipeline.
Look for these athletes and check out their Player Profiles already up on VBAdrenaline. Watch as we add many more stars from the Class of 2029 in the near future, and you can follow their recruiting journey much more closely.
