Create a Player ProfileDan, YOUR THE MAN: Meske Era Begins at Louisville

Meske is the man!
In a complementary move shortly after Dani Busboom-Kelly publicized her departure on Wednesday, Louisville Volleyball announced its promotion of Dan Meske to head coach.
After graduating from Ohio State in 2007, Meske spent eight seasons working with Nebraska as a graduate manager and volunteer coach before being promoted to a full-time assistant. Coach Meske worked primarily with the team’s middle blockers, also assisting with video scouting and camps which helped him land a head coaching job with Augustana University in South Dakota.
After two seasons with the Vikings, during which he garnered a 45-17 overall record, he returned to Division 1 volleyball and took the associate head coach position at Louisville under DBK. In his first season with the Cardinals, he helped lead the team to a 24-7 record and the ACC Championship.
Success became the new norm for Meske. In total, he won four ACC Championships, made two National Championship appearances—the first coming in the program-best 32-1 season in 2021—and became the first male to win AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2022.
Compiling a record of 203-44, Meske now takes over the program and will lead Louisville in pursuit of its elusive first-ever NCAA D1 Women’s Volleyball Championship
