Q&A With '26 Gabby DiVita on Dream Team

Gabby DiVita is a member of the Huskers highly-touted class of 2026 trio, and is everything you could want in a six-rotation outside. She has a consistent all-around game, while also carrying that competitive edge in crunch time. As a product of Legacy Volleyball Club, she has trained with the best – learning from club alumni and future teammate, Harper Murray. DiVita’s passing is one of her standout traits, able to dime balls in serve receive, flow effortlessly into the attack, and terminate. Her diverse range of shots rivals that of seasoned collegiate players; the 10 '2 touch and quick arm making for a lethal attack from all areas of the court. Her back row defense is just as impressive, holding down the middle back with gritty hustle and reliable ball control. Her play speaks for itself, but her intangible leadership qualities reinforce her role as a six-rotation star. I asked Gabby a couple of questions regarding Dream Team Camp and the role it played in her recruiting journey.

Q: Did you go into Dream Team Camp with Nebraska as a top choice or was it the experience that won you over?

A: My dream was always Nebraska so I would say every dream team I went to was hard for it not to be my top but the experience was something I couldn’t find anywhere else. There is a community unlike any other when you not only step into the gym but even just in Lincoln there was no place like it.

Q: What specific aspects of the program and its culture drew you to it?

A: How involved everyone was, the girls coaching you, giving you tips and high-fives were little things that meant the world to me. The energy from everyone whether it be coaches, trainers, the girls made me want to work my absolute hardest which showed the culture of their gym captivated me, I never wanted to leave.
