Create a Player ProfileLouisville Volleyball Set for Star-Studded Alumni Match Friday Night

The L&N Federal Credit Union Arena will get an early taste of volleyball action this Friday night as the Louisville Cardinals welcome back some of the program’s most decorated players for the annual Alumni Match. Fans can expect a high-energy evening as the current Cardinals face off against a lineup stacked with familiar faces and championship pedigree.
A Who’s Who of Cardinal Legends
The anticipated alumni roster is loaded with household names in Louisville volleyball history:
- Elena Scott – The All-American libero who anchored the Cardinal defense and etched her name into the program’s record books for digs. Known for her lightning-fast reflexes and unmatched court coverage, Scott’s return will be a fan favorite.
- Anna DeBeer – One of the most clutch outside hitters in Louisville history, DeBeer’s thunderous swings and leadership helped carry the Cardinals to multiple Final Four appearances.
- Charitie Luper – The explosive pin hitter whose athleticism and quick arm swing kept opposing defenses on their heels during her time in red and black.
- Aiko Jones – The charismatic and versatile right-side hitter who left a lasting mark both on the court and in the Louisville community. Jones’ combination of power and finesse made her one of the ACC’s most feared attackers.
- Emily Scott – A steady and dynamic presence who brought grit and consistency to the floor throughout her career.
For Louisville head coach Dan Meske, the match is more than just a preseason showcase — it’s a celebration of the program’s growth and the bonds that last well beyond graduation.
A Tune-Up for the 2025 Season
The alumni match also serves as a key warm-up for the 2025 Cardinals as they prepare for another run at the ACC title and NCAA postseason. With preseason practices heating up and position battles underway, the night promises to be both competitive and sentimental.
