Court Vision and Leadership Making Ellie Bain a Rising Name in the ‘28 Class

Class of 2028 Red Level setter Ellie Bain has worked to prove herself as one of the top rising prospects in the Plains Region. Competing for Adidas Dynasty 16-1, Bain helped guide her team to an early 16 Open bid to nationals at the Northern Lights Qualifier, showcasing her ability to lead an offense against elite competition. Bain has also gained attention on the recruiting radar through an extensive college camp circuit that includes programs such as Kentucky, Arizona State, Tennessee, Georgia, along with earning an invite to the 2026 UA Next Camp.

Bain’s game is defined by her adaptability and advanced court awareness. She does an excellent job reading defenses, adjusting tempo, and creating opportunities for her hitters in a variety of situations. Whether in-system or out-of-system, Bain remains composed and makes smart decisions that keep the offense balanced and effective. Her ability to process the game quickly and make adjustments mid-rally gives her a strong presence at the setter position.

At Mill Valley High School, Bain has already experienced success on one of the state’s top programs, helping lead the team to a Kansas 6A State Championship as a freshman in 2024 before following it up her sophomore season with a third-place finish in 2025. With strong leadership qualities, growing experience against high-level competition, and a polished feel for the game, Bain continues to trend upward as a notable prospect in the 2028 recruiting class.
