‘28 Setter Chloe Taylor Turning Heads as One of California’s Rising Elite Prospects

Class of 2028 Red Level setter Chloe Taylor continues to establish herself as one of the premier young playmakers on the West Coast. The 6’1 California native has already built an impressive resume, competing with Wave 16-1 Scott, helping lead the squad to a dominant 10-0 run and a championship finish in the 16 Open division at Red Rock Rave, while also securing the team’s bid to nationals. Taylor’s rapid development has also earned her recognition at the national level as a member of the USAV NTDP U18 program, a testament to both her advanced skill set and long-term potential.

Taylor brings a dynamic presence to the setter position with her ability to control tempo and consistently put hitters in prime positions. When watching her game play, her ball placement stands out immediately, delivering clean, hittable sets from all areas of the court. She shows advanced chemistry with her attackers, understanding timing and spacing at a high level for her age, and her decision-making allows offenses to operate efficiently under pressure. Combined with her size, athleticism, and court awareness, she has the tools to impact the game in multiple phases.

At the high school level, Taylor has already earned Varsity MVP honors at Los Osos High School along with First Team All-Baseline League recognition, further proving her ability to perform against strong competition. With her blend of physical upside, leadership qualities, and polished setter instincts, Taylor projects as a high-level recruiting target in the 2028 class and a prospect whose talent and skills continue to rise.
