Natalie Wardlow is a name many coaches have on their radar. She is a powerful, long, and quick middle blocker in the class of 2025 who plays for Nebraska One 16 Synergy.According to PrepDig’s most recent rankings, she is the #15 player in the nation.
We had the opportunity to catch up with her before a busy summer. She has already kicked off with USAV NTDP training in Washington DC in early May. June has already been busy with club training and camps at Ohio State and Creighton.
Natalie is planning to attend more camps this summer but she doesn’t know where yet. With NCAA coaches being able to contact the class of 2025 on June 15th, she says that will give her a better idea on where she wants to sign up. The Nebraska One standout stated that she's “nervous but excited about being able to talk to college coaches and I definitely want to learn more about each school. Natalie has thought about what she is looking for in a college-
*positive community *welcoming teammates *a place where she can “grow as a person and a play” *have a chance to win a national championship. Being from the Omaha area, Wardlow says that she wants her parents to be able to watch her play in college more than a few times a year.
When asked about the club season, Natalie said her Nebraska One squad has grown a lot together and have increased their tempo on offense, which in turn, has made her a better blocker by being able to react faster. She also credited her setter, Malorie Boesinger, for their improved connection on offense. Wardlow said her favorite moments from this season have been “being able to see my teammates every week and pushing each other to get better”. Natalie and her very talented Nebraska One team will compete in 16 Open at USAV Nationals in Chicago at the end of this month. Watch for this top ranked MB to be a "HOT COMMODITY" when the 15th hits.
