Create a Player ProfileThe Prospect Report: Red Rock Stars for the 2029s in Vegas
-(1).jpeg)
Just like with 2028s, the 2029s are going to have a smaller field, but a talented lineup of stars in Vegas starting Saturday AM. Here is our initial roster of red Rock Stars we anticipate keeping a very close eye on to monitor progress since NIT.
Rachel Bower- Idaho Crush OH Silver
Bower is a solid all-around volleyball player and it will be good watching her at the 16s level once again. You forget she plays up a year each time you watch her plays because of the physicality that she can play with on the pin and her fundamentals are there in the rest of her game.
Ellie Enger- WPVBC Setter Gold
The #1 evaluated at her position in a class that is shaping up to have a sneaky amount of high-level of setter depth. Enger is simply elite. She is so cerebral on the court and sees the floor so well. She has taken her offensive game to a new level as she has gotten older. Her accuracy and touch are all-American level as well. Enger is so good that there have been rumors of schools even waiting in '28 to try and get her in '29. She will play up with the 16 Opens as well.
Sydney Rincon- ACTYVE Setter Orange Level
Rincon is an athlete who is doing everything out there, promoting her recruitment on social media. She is long and working on her accuracy this season, and her footwork. She is with ACTYVE this season and off to a good start. Excited to see Rincon for the first time in person this season, as she is one who really hit up the summer camp tour hard last year.
Sophia Gregg- AZ Storm Setter Silver
Gregg has risen to one of the most talked about floor generals in the '29 class and this will be my first time truly watching her run her team up close. The '29 setter class is getting crowded with high-end talent so I can't wait to see where the AZ prospect fits in that mix.
Sahmome Wadsworth- AZ Storm OH Elite Red
In a year of big arms and big personalities at the pin position, how good is Wadsworth, and is she the best of the West? You know the Storm always has one P4 arm as a go-to, so is she the '29 version, and how high does she stack up nationally with the other big guns in this class? We are on a mission to find that out as we watch this talented Storm squad in Vegas over the weekend, and especially the pins on the squad.
Emma Nance- AZ REV OH Elite Red
Staying in the Phoenix area and staying with the powerful arms of the West, let's talk about Nance of REV. She has to fit right in the convo with Wadsworth, so it will be great to evaluate them in the same gym together. She is very productive in-system and already has a variety of shots. Athleticsim is a strength it will be interesting to see how she handles all of the "other tools of volleyball," and whether she can dominate a match all around to be truly elite. She is very talented, no doubt, and there is plenty of college interest in Nance. It's how high does the interest rise?
Sierra Thomas- Maryland Juniors OH Elite Orange
This is a player I have wanted to watch for some time, and if you are flying from Maryland to Vegas for volleyball, you deserve some attention. Thomas has gained some recruiting attention already this season with her consistent play and all-around skill level. I am excited to see her compete in the Open Division vs. out-of-region teams from the West.
WAVE Crew:
We have had a great following of WAVE athletes this year, and know the coaching at that club is always very solid. I also don't think I have ever been disappointed watching a WAVE match ever, so watching Isabella Brown '29 OPP, who is currently at an Elite Orange level, or Baylee Wilson, one of the top OH hitters in our '29 class overall, will never be a bad idea. I'm also interested in watching Brooke Proctor play who is currently a Red Level prospect in the '29 class
The 15s Open may not be as large, but the talent definitely is. I can't wait to get to Red Rock and see so many Western US squads and Cali/Isles and SW Region athletes.
