The Prospect Report: What People in the Game are saying

Now That We are off and running

Following the Setter Action:

Molly Monday - “She continues to fly under the radar, but trust me, there is enough attention on her now, especially from the SEC.” This is great to hear about the Tribe Setter (Silver Level Prospect) not sure why she hasn’t gained a little more national attention, but she has some talking about being in the Top 4 Setters in this class. She was solid again in her home state qualifier.

Eden Knapp - OTVA “Knapp is just a solid player who is proving more dynamic when you see her in person.” Another who has the eyes of most of the SEC on her right now, the defensive MB had plenty of attention over the weekend.

Katherine Mitchell Metro “How is Mitchell not talked about more? She is having such a great all-around tournament, doing a little of everything for this team. You get her in that college strength program, she projects really well.” WE AGREE and have for some time, Mitchell has been one of the site's favorites since Nationals, and you might not see her real potential until next season, but colleges are seeing it now (high-ceiling) as the Metro star is living up to that Silver Prospect Status!

Lola Loncar - AVC Cleveland “This is going to be such a deep class at ‘bro and recruiting them is going to be interesting, that’s for sure. Loncar is tough, but so consistent that she is in control. We have always liked her, but I truly think libero ranking will come down to who you are talking to.” Loncar was on the U17 team and performed well every time we saw her in person last season. She doesn’t have a Player Profile, so we don’t have season updates yet, but we know interest is very high from multiple P4s, as this source notes interest is high in several talented liberos this year.

Mali Nyankori - A5 “Nyankori is a college prospect as well; she simply plays on the most talented and deepest team in the country. Her skill is in her block right now, but she has a slide and can run other routes well. There are only so many balls for that squad. She is going to be that girl who gets legit offers, and people are like (who the heck?) But that is why coaches are in gyms watching practices and workouts…they know.” Already an NTDP attendee and has camped at Vandy and South Carolina so yeah there is talent there for Mali who we have as an Elite Red Level prospect at 6’1” she has lift. Watch her #16 in the middle for that A5 squad.

Raegan Marshman - A5 “Marshman is more powerful right now and taller. They don’t get as much of the offense, but she has shown that ability when the opportunity is there. More of a power and quick route MB with her length causing issues.” Marshman has a Player Profile so we know a bit more about her, like her Block Touch at 120” and Approach at 127” already, so yeah, she can get up and cover some area. It’s going to be interesting to see how she does at some Select Camps when staff gets to see her run more routes and her speed, because with those physical numbers already, she will have serious P4 interest.

Finley Brennan - NC Academy The Setter for the NC club had a great weekend in Florida, and it paid off. We talked with the 2028 prospect, and this is what we found out: “Really proud of my performance at Sunshine. I led the team in assists and serving efficiency. I was third in digs. Our team came into the tournament ranked 38th in the USA and finished tied for 5th. We had lots of colleges watching our court all weekend, several that are on my email list, and I've already received two camp invites today from coaches who watched over the weekend

Madlen Gloessner - NORCO 17s Finally, some rumblings on one of our favorite leaders in the class, playing at the 17s level, she misses some of the weekly tourney action, but make no mistake, Gloessner is locking down the #2 MB spot in a couple of high-profile War Rooms, backing up what she has done in her USA VB workout sessions. As I’ve stated earlier, you are gaining a big-time leader (not to mention the VB skill level) when you invest in the Colorado prospect.

Trinity Johnson - TAV OPP Gold Level Prospect - My apologies to Trinity during NIT and a very me thing to do, not realizing that was her all weekend, lighting things up on the right side for the Dallas-based club. Regardless, her score has been updated, and the performance was still the same, and what coaches saw was enough to impress many. “I’d love to use the “huge college upside” term right now, but she’s playing so well currently and still has great volleyball ahead of her, plus being an Opp gives her more recruiting stock, and the way she glides out there, how can she not be highly sought after?” EXACTLY!!!!

Studying for Louisville:

Can’t be in The ‘Ville, so had to do some research, so here is some buzz ahead of Bluegrass

Grade your Solid ‘Bros: “This is always a tournament where many coaches are trying to find their next Libero, trust me! You have those gritty Midwest clubs, and they all play hard. You have about 8-10 of the top liberos in the class coming in here, plus there are always undersized OH’s that are going to be ‘bros at the next level. This tourney is always where coaches are looking hard for that.”

Here are just a few of our Lakes and Southeast Region favorite liberos in action.

Cala Haffner - Diamond - Pineapple High Performance

Kenadi Sieg - NKYVC - Elite Red

Lola Loncar - AVC Cleveland - Elite Red U17 National Team

Chloe Ritchie - Munciana - Elite Red

Harper Broyles - Alliance - Elite Red

Brooke Neale - Munciana Elite Red

Maggie Timmerman - Tri-State Elite - Red

Kennedy Hummert - 3DGE - Red

Kinsley Whitfield - Far OUT - Red

Bella Desensi - KIVA - Elite Orange

**Those are just some of the names that we have, and there will be many more in action.

Emmy Garner - Setter TPV - We have not gotten a great look at Garner yet this year, and we want to watch her with her MB anyway, so this is the weekend for it. Excited to see what she can do as she’s another one we have heard some great things about early this season.

Abbie Powell MB Municana - Same goes for Powell. We watched pieces a few weeks ago, but not a set period of a match. I just have a feeling she is one ready to jump a notch from what we saw before.

Chayse Gilliand - OH TPV - Gilliand is another who doesn’t have a player profile and we haven’t seen a ton of yet, but we like her athleticism with a 10’ approach touch and she is 6’ tall so watching her on the TPV team squad for long stretches will help get a true idea of where she fits in with some of the OH’s in this upper 1/2 of the 2028s.
