Texas is Back: Floyd Flies to Top of 2028s

Repping TAV 15 Black this club season, Sarah Floyd has emerged as the gem of the 2028 class, like the Cari Spears and Henley Andersons of the 2026 class - Texas made and Texas committed! An intimidating 6’3” already, she is a monster from the right pin, demolishing balls with her lightning-quick arm swing.

Reminiscent of Annie Drews, as a lefty, she can run fast attacks and truly reach the ball at its peak to hammer it down at whatever angle necessary. As volleyball continues to grow in this country, the level has ascended, and Floyd is a perfect example of that!

Her offensive prowess, as elite as it is, makes up only part of her overall game. Her defense at the net stands out as well. She gets up, presses square to the net, and etsbalishes a formidable wall, making life for the opposing outside quite challenging.

The list goes on, as not only does she shine in the front row, but she rotates back and passes dimes in serve receive, which I’m sure she can credit to her experience in the sand - a great way to improve your overall skillset (as taken note of by Nebraska who has recently started training their players on the beach during the offseason)!

Floyd will be a name that will stay toward the top of this class as the year moves on.  A star with big superstar potential leading a 2028 class that looks to be as deep in talent as VBAdrenaline.com has seen in our first four years of coverage.  Being a natural right-side pin makes her even more valuable.  She will be one we watch well into the future.
