SEC By the Numbers
We are just over a week past the original June 15th date and have officially had 143 verbals to this point. To this point of the power four conferences, the SEC only has one team in the top 10 of the 2027 rankings at this time. Let’s take a deeper dive into the SEC's numbers.
.47: 47 percent of players committed to SEC schools have over 200 PPV. That’s 18 out of 37 girls.
1: Texas A&M is the SEC’s only school inside the top 10 of the 2027 class rankings right now with an average PPV score of 249
2: Two SEC teams are left that haven’t received a single verbal to this point. Georgia and Tennessee are the only schools in the conference that don’t have a verbal yet. Both were in the top 20 of last year’s classes.
3: Three teams have an average PPV of over 200 with A&M (249), LSU (229), and Kentucky (212) being those three. Nine of the ten commits for those teams have a PPV over 200. Each already has three or more commits. They are also the only three teams ranked in the top 20 for SEC schools.
3: The schools that have only received commitments from girls with a PPV over 200. Texas A&M and LSU both have had marvelous classes, but South Carolina also has two commits who are ranked over 200 in Triangle’s Graceyn Shepard (PPV 208) and as of an hour ago, Dynasty’s Riley Riggs (PPV 219).
5: Biggest class so far for the SEC with Alabama having a five player class already and reaching an average PPV of 183, which currently ranks them seventh among the SEC teams. They just landed their first 200+ PPV yesterday with the addition of Houston Skyline’s Madysen Chime (PPV 207).
37: The total amount of commits in the SEC after the first nine days of recruiting. This includes the three that have just committed today in Nyla and Naomi Livings (LSU), and Riggs (South Carolina).
94: The difference between the average PPV of Texas last year after one week and this year after one week. Texas, which has consistently been atop the recruiting leaderboards for many years, has only two commits, with Ella Olsen being the highest ranked of the two with a 244 PPV. Texas currently ranks 25th in our 2027 rankings.

197.97: The average PPV of all commits currently for the SEC. 2026’s currently sits about 170, but was well over 200 after the first week last year.
249: Texas A&M’s average PPV score. They currently are fourth in the country after landing Sophee Peterson (discussed next), Isabel Incinellli (PPV 232), the star middle for Winter Park Volleyball Club and Braelyn Patton (PPV 234), another star middle for Dallas Premier.
282: Sophee Peterson is currently the highest rated SEC commit with a PPV of 282. The TAV setter was the highest ranked setter in the class and was by about 19 PPV points. She was a huge get for the Aggies.
