Saylor is SILVER
California OH Saylor Halvorsen is a great example of a "high-ceiling prospect". Maybe not flashy early in her career and maybe others may put up huge stats and bigger highlights early on, but not many in the Class of 2028 have had the monster Spring that the SG Elite prospect has had and that is a fact.
Invited to her first NTDP Training Session ever, when that happens during the Spring of your 16s season it means someone on their coaching staff wants to see you work vs. the other top prospects in the class for recruiting purposes and that is a great sign.
Then you look at her camp list and you could literally take our 2nd level of our Prestige Board and Paste it on this grpahic, with the exception of BYU, and we have talked about their potential of landing a Top 3-5 class this year! So Halvorsen has caught the attention of all the right coaches and ones that know how to evaluate talent.
Her strengths again she is growing and her best volleyball may have been the last month of her career (another Poster Child for moving the calendar back to January, who knows how high she could climb in our PPV ranks). She is long and developing a mean whip action in her swing. She is consistently athletic, meaning her T.O.P. athletic scores are all 3 in the high 9's for Ht, Approach and Block and if we added in her Arm Speed that would be a 9.4+ I'm guessing also. She doesn't have glaring deficiencies to work on.
She has some of the same attributes of 2027 Ellyson Randolph of NC, except probably more advanced right now and you have seen Randolph's huge jump in a year. So someone like Halvosen could push for a HIGH Silver grade by the end of her 17s season and would be a great fit at any of the schools she camped at.
One to definitely watch on the 15th and into July possibly?
