Rivals Work Together to Prep for NIT: NC Stars talk Recruiting and More

Two of North Carolina's premier volleyball clubs came together on Wednesday for a rare meeting and a chance to work together in preparation for next week's Triple Crown NIT.  Poor weather in the Carolinas has cancelled a couple of competitions for both NC Academy and Triangle volleyball clubs, so the area rivals got together and combined forces to have a scrimmage day so their top 16s and 17s squads could get some competition time in before heading to Kansas City next week.

VBAdrenaline was fortunate enough to catch a livestream of the event, and the two-court scrimmage was filled with P4 commits and future 2028 recruits.  The action was high-level and great to watch, especially for so many NC Academy athletes who have Player Profiles on the site and were familiar faces.  The court time was beneficial for both programs and hopefully opened the door for both clubs to work together more in the future.

Following the scrimmages, we sat down with three 2028s before heading to KC and talked with them about a few topics.  NC Academy veterans: Maggie Jewell (Middle Blocker), Chloe Burbage (Setter), and we were introduced to Triangle (OH) Cameron Bublitz.
