Newest Player Profiles as of 5/18

Another week has passed, and that means it’s time for another update on our platform’s newest athletes!

Elsa Basel - 2028, Middle, Kairos 15 Alpha, PPV 119

Basel is very long and is able to take up space very quickly in the middle. She is a very hard worker and always makes the extra effort to dive into the seam, even if she is a bit late. With more repetition, I am interested to see how her offensive game and timing will evolve, but she already has great court vision and moves the ball around to keep the defense honest!

Payton Froid - 2029, Setter, Tstreet 14-Randi

This Class of 2029 is shaping up to be no joke! With Kari Knotts catching everyone’s eye, it’s hard to imagine anyone surpassing her in PPV before her recruiting cycle comes around, but this setter has an argument to make as a quality recruit as well! Already an extremely refined setter, Froid has strong hands and gets her feet to the ball quickly, allowing her to distribute the ball with accuracy and a seemingly always-hittable trajectory. I cannot wait to see how she continues to develop!

Freya McBride - 2027, Libero/DS, Adversity VBC 16 Adidas

This UA Next MVP is ready to make some noise! McBride commands the backcourt with fluidity and ease, pushing to get any ball she can to keep her team in system. She makes impressive one-handed ups regularly and always seems to be in complete control. She is for sure one to watch throughout the next couple months!
