Loaded Rosters: High School Programs With Talent to Know

Blue Valley West High School | Kansas

Blue Valley West is loaded with VBAdrenaline talent. The Jaguars are coming off a Kansas 6A state championship, and five players we’ve profiled are already committed to Division I programs, giving this roster serious talent across multiple positions and classes. Leading the group is 2027 Peyton Kubik, a 6-foot-2 OH/OPP committed to Pitt, who helped lead Blue Valley West to its championship season. She’s joined by 2027 Sasha Cromer, a 5-foot-11 S/OPP committed to Auburn, giving the Jaguars two major pieces in the 2027 class. The 2028 group is just as loaded, with Jensen Kubik, a 5-foot-11 OH committed to USC, and sisters Nyah Harris and Aliyah Harris, both committed to Rice. Nyah runs the offense as a setter, while Aliyah brings another big option at MB/OH. With Pitt, Auburn, USC and Rice all represented on the same roster, Blue Valley West has a rare collection of Division I talent. The Jaguars already showed what this group can do with a state championship, and having this much committed talent together makes Blue Valley West one of the most loaded high school programs on our radar.

Waukee Northwest High School | Iowa

Waukee Northwest has a serious collection of Division I talent on its roster, with five players we’ve profiled already committed to the next level. The group brings a mix of size, defensive range and attacking ability across the 2027 and 2028 classes, giving the Wolves plenty of high-level pieces across the court.The 2027 class features Leah Janulewicz, a 5-foot-9 LIB/DS/OH committed to Drake, and London Taylor, a LIB/DS committed to Central Arkansas. On the pin, Logan Vogt brings 6-foot-1 size as an OH committed to Iowa State, while Piper Ladwig, a 6-foot-3 OPP/OH, is also headed to Iowa State. That gives Waukee Northwest two major Iowa State commits in its 2027 class. The group is rounded out by 2028 Avery Cordes, a 6-foot MB/OH committed to Duke. With five Division I commitments spanning Drake, Central Arkansas, Iowa State and Duke, Waukee Northwest has one of the more notable concentrations of college-bound talent we’re keeping an eye on.

Briarcrest Christian High School | Tennessee

Briarcrest Christian has a serious collection of Division I talent on its roster, with five players we’ve profiled already committed to the next level. The Saints have talent spread across multiple classes and positions, and that depth is showing up in their current production. The 2027 class is led by Camille Northcross, an OH committed to Belmont who currently leads the team at 3.4 kills per set, while Nancy Ward, a 2027 MB committed to Bradley, leads the Saints with 42 blocks. Kadence Dumas, a 6-foot-1 2027 OH/OPP, gives Briarcrest another big offensive option and is committed to Tarleton State. The 2028 group adds even more versatility. Ashari Jenkins, an OH also committed to Tarleton State, currently leads the team with 204 kills, while Sophie Loe, a LIB/DS committed to North Alabama, is making an impact across the back row. Loe leads Briarcrest with 210 digs and 28 aces, while averaging 3.4 digs per set. With Belmont, Bradley, Tarleton State and North Alabama all represented on the same roster, Briarcrest Christian has one of the more notable concentrations of college-bound talent on our radar. And with multiple commits currently sitting at or near the top of the team's statistical categories, this is a group that is contributing in a big way right now.

Assumption High School | Kentucky

Assumption is loaded with college-bound talent, with seven of the eight players we’ve profiled already committed to Division I programs. The Rockets have talent spread across their 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes, and that depth is translating directly to the court as Assumption continues to roll through the 2026 season. The Rockets are currently 18-0 and ranked No. 1 in Kentucky. The 2027 class makes up the core of the group, with Madelyn Faulkner, a LIB/DS committed to Arkansas State, Cheyenne Reyes, a LIB/DS committed to Texas State, Natalie Whitsell, a 5-foot-7 LIB/DS committed to Tulane, Carle Hooe, a 6-foot-1 MB committed to Bellarmine, and Addison Hurley, a setter committed to Samford. Hooe is currently leading the team with 24 total blocks, while Reyes is making a huge impact defensively, leading the Rockets with 169 digs and 3.8 digs per set, while also sitting first in aces with 28. The 2028 class adds Lacey Prather, a 5-foot-9 LIB/DS committed to Belmont, and Brooke Codey, a 5-foot-8 OH/DS committed to Kentucky. The group also includes 2029 Hyla Petkovic, a LIB/DS and 2026 U17 NTDP selection, giving Assumption another young defensive piece with high-level experience already on her résumé. At the center of the offense is Hurley, who currently leads the Rockets with 587 assists, while the team's defensive production has been a major part of the story. With seven Division I commitments across Arkansas State, Texas State, Tulane, Bellarmine, Samford, Belmont and Kentucky, Assumption has an unusual amount of college-bound talent on one roster. With that group contributing across the lineup and the Rockets still undefeated, Assumption is one of the most loaded high school programs on our radar.

Lake Travis High School | Texas

Lake Travis has a strong collection of talent across its 2027 and 2028 classes, including three Division I commits and a 2028 setter already leading the offense. The Cavaliers have high-level experience throughout the roster, with multiple players currently sitting at the top of key statistical categories. The 2027 class is headlined by Gentry Barker, an OH committed to San Diego State who is putting together another productive season. Barker currently leads Lake Travis with 355 kills and 4.3 kills per set, while also leading the team in hitting percentage at .316. Her résumé includes multiple MaxPreps and Texas UIL All-State honors and Texas Sports Writers Association 5A Player of the Year. Barker is joined by Hannah Sawtelle, a 6-foot-2 MB committed to Virginia Tech, giving Lake Travis another major 2027 piece in the middle. The 2028 class features Tatum Wilson, a 5-foot-10 setter currently leading the team with 606 assists, and Maggie Wheeler, an OH committed to Texas State who leads the Cavaliers with 40 service aces. With three Division I commitments among the players we’ve profiled, plus Wilson continuing to lead the offense, Lake Travis has plenty of talent already making an impact. With established national experience and strong current production across the group, the Cavaliers are a program we’ll continue to keep an eye on.

Perry High School | Arizona

Perry has a strong group of prospects across its 2027 and 2029 classes, with four of the seven players we’ve profiled already committed to Division I programs. The group brings plenty of size and versatility across the net, with multiple players already making an impact in the 2026 season. The 2027 class features a deep group of talent, led by Kail Shill, a setter committed to UC Santa Barbara who earned 6A First Team All-Region honors. Shill currently has 145 assists, while setter/OPP Sophia Gregg, a 6-foot-2 2029, leads the group with 155 assists. On the pins, Sienna Cathey is a 6-foot OH/OPP committed to Cal Poly, while McKinley Jolley is a 6-foot-3 MB/OPP who committed to Southern Utah this week and currently leads the group with 35 blocks. Perry also has plenty of size in the middle and on the opposite side with Kaitlin James, a 6-foot-1 2027 MB, and Ella Gregg, a 6-foot-1 2027 OPP/MB. James brings an extensive résumé that includes three straight USAV GJNC National Championship runner-up finishes from 2023 through 2025, along with 2025-26 First Team 6A Premier Region and 6A First Team All-District honors. Leeya Svendson rounds out the group as a 6-foot 2027 OPP/MB. With four Division I commitments among the players we’ve profiled and multiple players already producing at the top of Perry's statistical categories, the Pumas have a talented group worth keeping an eye on as the season continues.
