Heart of the Country: Top 5 Plains Region '29 Risers

Piper Hudson- Red Level  

This Red Level OPP/RS out of Missouri has explosive power that makes her attacks lethal to opponents. Standing at 6 feet tall, Hudson’s left-handed swings give her a strategic advantage above the rest. She has helped drive KC Power 15 Johnson to a successful season so far, most recently tying for 5th place at the Show Me Now Qualifier. 

Collyns Livermore- Red Level 

Finishing up her freshman year at Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School, Collyns Livermore has already racked up a rather impressive reputation. As a Red Level setter competing two age divisions up for Shockwave 17 Black, her vertical bursts and near perfect ball placement earned her achievements such as UA Next Camp MVP and NTDP Training Series. Her future as a volleyball prodigy is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.  

Makinley Ramsey- Elite Orange Level 

With swift movement and quick feet, Makinley Ramsey is climbing the ranks and building a future for herself at the next level. This Elite Orange Level libero/DS has already attended college camps hosted by Nebraska, K-State, and Colorado. Through her decisive defensive instincts and ball control, Ramsey has aided VCNebraska-16 Elite a successful season, most recently competing in the 16 Open division at the Show Me Now Qualifier.  

Alaina McGuire- Elite Red Level  

This rising star out of Kansas City uses her footwork and confidence under pressure to make an impact on every game she plays. As an Elite Red Level setter, McGuire dominates the court as a part of KC Power 15-1, leading them to victories such as going undefeated at the Nike Midwest Qualifier in the Open division in March. McGuire has a very impressive college camp attendance record including camps hosted by Kentucky, Arizona State, Miami, and many others.  

Danaya Petkova- Red Level  

It’s hard to miss Red Level OH Danaya Petkova on the court, as her shot variety and aggressive attacks have contributed to her many game day successes. Petkova has brought her star-studded talents to Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Club, playing for their 15- Elite team, aiding recently in their 3rd place finish in their division at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier. Her 6-foot stature and explosive vertical have earned her multiple achievements such as USAV Nationals All-Tournament Team.
