Get to know Anabelle Cummings

Get to know Anabelle Cummings

Get to know the Revolution Libero, Anabelle Cummings. Cummings is a stand out 'bro in the 2028 class with a PPV of 204 who is playing up from her technical grade level (15's) and shining on the highest stage. She is an all out, scrappy defender with fantastic court vision and yet has a comforting calmness to her game. I had the chance to ask Anabelle a couple of questions about her to get to know her. Hope you all enjoy these fun facts about Anabelle as much as I did!

  • What is your favorite volleyball memory so far in your career?

My favorite volleyball memory was the first time I ever qualified for nationals in 12’s year!

  • If you could play any position other than your own, what would it be?

If I could play any other position then libero, it would be outside hitter but that will kinda be a problem because i’m only 5’2.

  • Do you play any other sports? Or If you could play any sport other than volleyball at the high level you are at what would it be?

If I could play any other sport at a high level I would wanna play flag football because i think it’s so fun!

  • What were you most looking forward to this club season?

I look forward to my team SHOWING UP at nationals!

  • Do you have a favorite volleyball skill? Stuff block, big kill, out of system set, etc.?

My favorite skill has to be digging the cross corner shot from the outside!

  • Who is your favorite NCAA volleyball player?

My favorite NCAA player was Lexi Rodriguez! Other than her skill, I admire how she keeps calm in stressful situations on the court.

  • What do you like to do outside of the volleyball gym? Hobbies?

Outside of volleyball, I love binge watching romcoms with my bestfriends.

  • Do you have a role model or an influential person in your life? Who and what's the story?

An influential person in my life is my older sister. I grew up always being around her volleyball team and seeing them make nationals every year made me want to do the same. We would always pepper together and had fun competing! My love for volleyball came from my older sister!

  • If you had to give advice to younger girls what advice/tips would you give?

My advice for younger players is something that i’m still working on to this day and that is to have fun while playing. Having a good time takes all the stress off of making mistakes and getting in your head.
