Early 2028 Recruiting Class Ranking Reveals the Truth About College Volleyball: It's Not Fair At All and Not Supposed to Be.

Early 2028 Recruiting Class Ranking Reveals the Truth About College Volleyball: It's Not Fair At All and Not Supposed to Be.

Drum roll, please, and ALL of college volleyball, hold your breath as we reveal the first recruiting class rankings of 2028.  You had better be sitting down for this year's rankings because the school names are absolutely going to NOT surprise you one bit.  Except how in the heck can Wisconsin manage to NOT get itself in the Top 10?  You almost have to TRY not to in today's college volleyball with all of the advantages set up for the Blue Blood Programs.

The Top 7 programs are all the exact same, only missing the Badgers from 2027's class and Nebraska, Texas, Louisville, Pitt, Penn State, and Texas A+M (minus 1 season) and SMU minus 1 season) have been in the top spots of the polls every year VBAdrenaline has been around.

Also, I respect my friend at Creighton, and I know he has to speak up for his conference, but things ARE NOT created equal in all conferences and even though the Big XII is considered a P4 when you look at recruiting results its obvious the talent gap is wide and the Big East simply is NOT in the same league as the Big Three and though Creighton does hang with the others to say the rest of the conference does is, well just not accurate.

But, we don't even have Card Nation listed on here yet this year, and they end up on the list 4 out of 5 classes as well, you know they do.

**The Huskers and Longhorns have amazing classes and will battle up and down until signing day to see whow is actually #1.  Remember with our PPV scores, they do fluctuate and as close as these two are they will flip, heck they might flip during Naitonals here in Indy.  But, right now the Nebraska class is slighty higher valued than Texas' class of three years ago with Cari Spears and Abby Vanderwal, you know the class that will take on Nebraska in Vegas on August 30th!!

**A+M class is very good not great.  We said this class was the Aggies to dictate and they did very well and grabbed Abogu and Mortenson, but it felt like they could have done a little better with all of the momentum they had coming in, especially with all of libero depth in the class.  This was their year to push for a #1 overall class and it shows you that Nebraska and Texas still rule College Volleyball and the Aggies are still not the Huskers or Hook Em in recruits eyes quite yet.

**Pitt had a very Panther like class AGAIN and it works for them only missing out on Burrage as the true DYNAMIC athlete they probably coveted, but I love what they did in the middle grabbine Bree Kelly jr. and a nasty attitude so they are getting the type it takes to win and always raising the athletic bar athlete wise each season in the Steel City.

**We have talked about PSU class already

**We touched on SMU class last night, but now you see it up against everyone else and it sticks out as even more impressive.  Sam Erger has done 2-3 classes in a row now, putting 2 or maybe 3 VERY solid prep recruits in with her veteran and SOLID roster and they transition right in each year.  Johnson is sooooooooo good that is a big, big pickup that went unnoticed by most, but so many big schools wanted her (Kentucky was one, and about 4 other SEC contenders and then a couple of ACC rivals also).

***Louisville's class may not be quite as flashy as years past, but its solid and they grabbed their next setter of the future in Burrage and a complimentary libero/ds to go with Bower.  They shot for the moon with a couple of HR candidates and they should do that now, because the Cards are in the same boat as about 7 other schools (also on this list) if they strike out what do they do......go grab they best transfer they can get in the portal in January.  They are in a no lose situation.  So they didn't fail in the class not getting an OH, they went for the best and missed, now they go get a bigtimer in the portal!!!

***Minnesota and USC are back in the mix with a couple lower publicized commits.  I really like both of their commits, but when you compare them to the Penn State and Pitt and then Wisconsin class of last year you see that both of these programs have dropped a Prestige Level the past couple of years.  Both contended for much higher prospects and actually gave better offers than the schools the commits ultimately signed with, neither of those are positive signs for a program especially long-standing logo schools.  Also, both have decommits and transfer issues the last year.  So right now they sit in the top 10, but I think even their fanbases would admit the classes are "OK" if you want to be a Title Contending Program which these schools I would think still have aspirations of.

***Indiana we talked of yesterday and they have to pumped up with their legit star OH candidate from the Left Coast and then the strongest most physical setter in the class coming to Bloomington.  The Hoosiers have built and built they are right there and they always consider culture when they add talent.  If they could stack one more impact player (90s PPV) with their current commits then this could end up a Top 7 class in Hoo-Hoo-Hoo- Hoosierland
