27’s & ‘28s: Camp & Profile Updates

As June 15th inches closer and college camps begin hosting athletes, updates ‘27 and ‘28 profiles are rolling in. These new generations bring a galore of talent, and collegiate programs are keeping an eye out for their next big star. Here are some athletes who have recently upgraded to their camp resumes, improved statistically, or added a new accolade to the list.

Nafanua Alofipo (PPV 210): A highly-coveted 2027 setter/outside has made a few more trips, from home in the salt flats of Utah to the southern heart of Dallas in SMU.  In her junior season at Skyline High School, Alofipo recorded 397 digs, 360 kills on an impressive .390 clip, in addition to 63 assists. She is a highly capable athlete; a Great Plains All-Region Team, a 5A Utah State Champion, as well as leading her 18U club team to a USAV Open Top 5 Finish.

Ashlyn Quiri (PPV 208): A 2027 6-1 outside out of Tucson, AZ – Quiri is catching the eyes of several programs with her big arm swing, impressive range of shots, and all-around game. Her profile has been updated to reflect her improving vertical metrics and resume of camp invitations, among which include; Arizona State, Arizona, Tennessee, and Missouri. Her 2025 accolade list continues to grow, including two 16U Gold Bracket first place finishes for her club team.

Mallory Mizell (PPV 194): This 2028 – who doubles as an outside or a defensive specialist – has caught the attention of several SEC schools, including Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Arkansas. The UA Next Invitee and 2x AAU All-American is certainly making a case for herself in all aspects of the game, contributing positively both offensively and defensively. She can track the ball well and has a strong sense of court awareness, able to find kills anywhere on the court.

Morgan Nesloney (PPV 192): A 2028 libero out of Magnolia, Texas – Nesloney’s prowess on and off the court has led to her being named the MVP of the TAV Houston Volleyball Club 15’s Division, as well as earning the Leadership Award. She is quick on her feet with fast reflexes, and able to read balls quickly – all traits that are evident in the best liberos. Even though she is still very young, Nesloney is showing signs of greatness, and will certainly catch a lot of attention in the next recruiting circuit.

Luca Bombacino (PPV 131): This 2027 outside and AVCA phenom has received camp invitations from some B1G names, including prestigious programs like Wisconsin and Purdue. In her freshman season, she led all high school freshmen in Indiana in kills, and finished 5th in hitting percentage in Class 4A. She has a whip of an arm and a sharp four-to-four shot reminiscent of Franklin or Hudson, so it definitely makes sense why Sheffield and Shondell would want to go for her.
