After some surprise winter portal exits, Wisconsin has signed Jane Manecke of LaGrange Park, Illinois, to fill one of its open roster slots and bolster its presence in the middle. A varsity basketball and volleyball player at Nazareth Academy, Manecke will help fill in the gaps left by former starting middles Carter Booth and Alicia Andrew, both of whom played in their final collegiate season last year.
At 6’2”, Manecke is a high-flying middle who has proven to be an efficient attacker both in front of the setter and on the slide. She is the sixth member of the Badgers’ incoming 2026 class alongside fellow middle blocker Lynney Tarnow, outside hitters Halle Thompson and Audrey Flanagan, and middle blocker/right side Kymora Scott, plus late setter addition Isabelle Hoppe.
Manecke will bring athleticsm and position depth to already talentedy Badger roster that will again be one of the best in the nation in 2026.
